The visible shockwave at around 4.30 showing the bullet drop quite spectacularly.. Wonderful stuff...
Just ordered a Element Helix 2-16×50 HD two days ago. Going to mount it on my customized weatherby vanguard s2 30-06 . Should be a match made in heaven.
Brillient, Matt, your videos not only capture the excitement of the hunt, but also the the fantastic landscape of SA. After 46 years here in UK, I'm thinking it's time to have a trip back. It's good for us at nearly R23 to the GB£. Big Steve, East Yorks., England.
Great production value and music choices and of course the all important hunting! Excellent channel! Greetings from Kansas, USA.
You got to love to watch the Hypersonic wake as a bullet streaks towards his Target Thumbs Up and Good job gentlemen
We have a place in southern Idaho called the Snake River Birds of Prey area. Note, this area was formed for endangered raptors globally. This area is a high desert with the Snake River flowing thru it. There is canyon walls on this river where the Raptors nest up. The raptors are there because of the whistle pigs (ground squirrels), badgers are there because of the whistle pigs and they are the food source for this area. Last I heard there were 40 to 50 badgers per square mile here. The largest density of badgers in North America. I noticed the rock walls surrounding your farm. Do you have any raptors in your area? I’m not certain what I’d going on with these geese but the raptors would help keep them in check. Gorgeous looking farm!
How odd, just today I watched an episode of “Wild Kingdom” from 1969 and the fellas were in that exact area filming eagles. Beautiful area!
Excellent long range accuracy fellas. Impressive. Thanks for sharing
Love your videos Matt. They’re excellent. Thanks for sharing.
I was so upset when I learned we missed meeting you in New Hampshire!
Hopefully we can buy you dinner the next time you visit!
I love your countryside footage!
When I was a lot younger Canada geese were migratory birds. Here in Wisconsin we would only see them in the spring and fall as they traveled through. We still have the migratory ones, but back in the 1980’s some of them decided to just stay for the winter, and our cities now have huge populations of these birds. They are pests who poop all over the place.
Very good video. Thank you so much for taking us all along. Hope I get to see your country in my lifetime. So beautiful. Stay blessed.
Great footage. I enjoyed the design and how you use it in the Element HD. Congratulations on Element Optics.
Really well done video reporting, and such a nice location. Thank you for sharing!
gotta say, that drone footage is epic. Thanks, boys.
Awesome video Matt Keep them coming
Love watching the vapor trails as the projectiles make their way to target.
Awesome shooting guys !
Amazing when I was much much younger and my eyes were their best, in the Army I use to make 300 yard shots open sights with an M16A1.
I shot 40 out of 40 to qualify as an Expert marksman.
I definitely couldn’t do it now, as I need corrective lenses just to read and type in the comments 😂
Getting old sucks
I can relate. Joined in 85 and could nail 300 meeter targets with ease using the A1, and now my eyesight is fading fast.
Awesome video Matt omg 400 plus yards, that's insane freaking sniper Matt. I love it. Thanks for sharing bsafe guys
Very cool, lovely area
I have Loved 2 22-250 in my life. I’m so glad I still have one. Shot the barrel out of first one on prairie dogs.
Great bit of shooting your trips always look brilliant 👍🏼
Great video Matt and the guys . 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I really like your videos Matt, I hope you will always be more successful and healthy 👍
I love the 22-250 also. I us mine for woodchucks here Pennsylvania, USA. I use the 53 grain V-Max.
Great video and a beautiful area you were hunting in.
Good shooting guys! love the 22-250!
Outstanding Shooting!
Nice shooting guys, some lovely long shots there 😉👍
Far out that's beautiful grass land mate epic shooting too
Very accurate shot.
Watching..your my favorite hunter😊
Looks like boat loads of fun. In the USA we have the Canada geese. They are a real problem to but they protect them until season. I wish we could take care of our goose problem like this.
You can hunt them with rifles so long as it's in season though? Or does the law explicitly state shotgun only?
In that case maybe you could use a .22-250 insert xD
Fun! You need your head examining, sicko 😡
@@ToreDL87waterfowl is very regulated in the US short seasons, strict limits, shotguns are limited to 3 rounds of nontoxic shot plus other regulations
@@neonwhitea.1548 Fair enough, that puts the button on it.
Awesome 👌 love it
Egyptian geese are clever and in some regions where they have become extremely invasive, they don't even migrate. They become aware that seasons don't change and stay year round, disrupting the natural balance of the environment. Great job, keep hitting them hard.👏
Very good shooters. Nice work.
Always love the camera work on this channel and great editing.
Brilliant shooting
Wooohoo Matt is back.
Those geese are delicious! Much better than duck and chicken!
I live on a dairy farm and we get a lot of Egyptian geese and they are big pests I’m in the Eastern Cape region but these geese have got very clever over the years and now you can’t get closer than a 100m to them with out them spooking if you could come out and take some out of their rising population my father and I would appreciate it
Hey Keegan, I would be happy to help!
I’m in the East London area
About 8,000 miles away then.
Is that Luke Kibble from the Oxwagon Diaries? Blimey, he's been out on the lush paddock - still a good shot though 👍
Nice video and great shooting 👌
That 260 packs some 🔥 rounds
I trust that these bird pests provide some good food for less fortunate people on these farms.
I guess that would be nice but what if it’s just pest control
"... less fortunate people..."
Whoever gets to eat goose IS Fortunate !
☆
Your Egyptian geese are like our Canadian geese in the northern states in the US. We call them flying carp. Prolific numbers anywhere there is grass and water near. But our birds are protected until hunting season.
Awesome footage matt❤
What do you do with them? Are they fit to eat?
@@aliceharris1998 ofcourse they are very delicious
@@copyandpaste6485 Glad they don’t go to waste. Good to be rid of them and save on the grocery bill at the same time.
Side cam very nice ❤
Awesome congratulations 🎊🍾🎉🎈
That’s some good shooting.
I have both guns but I’ve never taken the .260 out of the box. This sparks my interest. The 22-250 is my favorite of all but I’m cheating because it’s AI with a 69 gr. SMK and is brutal on anything in North Central Tx.
Use a high end tripod mostly and it's super convenient but for long range like on your geese, Quad sticks with a fifth leg will vastly improve stability - almost as good as bipod & prone.
Awesome to hear things like Bakkie , lekker etc. Mark USA
I haven't shot a gun in existence but man that thump gets me exited each time.
@AirArmsHuntingSa I would love you see you try the 243 with 55 grain bullets to get your thought on it
I'm running 55 gainers out of a 243.. I love that thing, anything out to 700m is in big trouble but after 700m it flies all over the place, I think the plastic tips might be melting off
I'd like to commend you on your video's, you were able to catch a couple of the thermal images of the bullet's travel. I thought that was awesome. Thanks for sharing. Just a thought, a small problem with video's or still pictures', is you can't always make out the scale of things generally speaking. Maybe, if you happen to know the size of the farm your hunting on, you could pass that information along. It's the old how big is big, or how small is small.
Well fantastik 🤔 great shot
Hard to beat the 22-250 accuracy and velocity for vermin eradication.
good stuff
That’s some amazing shots boys can we come do that
Now THATS alotta damage!!!
Aweswome footage there! Keep it coming! What tripod are you using?
Great shooting, guys. The geese keep their distance. Have you already tried 22 Creedmoor, 69 gr. These bullets can also reach 3872 ft/s (1180 m/s)
Cool 👍
What suppressors do you use they have impressively low safe noise for that high speed of the rounds
It’s still pretty loud I’m sure, CZcams lowers the volume a lot
Nice gun👍👍👍👍
Nice you video hunting bro..perfec your shoot . I like 👍
Shooting not hunting
@@paulharrison6417 oke 👍
Who needs explosive ammo when the bullet is just fast enough 😆
no more oxwagon? Been a while since we've seen any of the gray menace/baboons. maybe I am alone on this but that was what I looked forward to the most when I came to visit your channel. It's been months. Thankfully there's a dude in Indonesia that is tearing it up with a FX impact M3. Almost the same rig you have. But I still miss watching you and those vervets
More oxwagon diaries episodes have been filmed recently, they are coming soon👍🏻
boa pontaria amigos,from Brazil
You know what I like about these geese? Nuthin. I don’t like nuthin about these geese.
I live in a country where in Queensland all bird life and reptiles are protected by law and has been so for the last thirty years.
Love you❤❤❤
Good place for the old 220 swift.
Check out the .224 and 6ARC. Best long range rifles I've owned
Those HOT rounds are gonna turn a lot of that meat in to burger mash. Luckily, if mixed with a bit of pork fat, goose burgers are amazing!
Matt, have you worked much with a 204 Ruger?
I’d be keen to get your thoughts on its performance compared to other varminting calibres.
Love the .204! When I was trying to decide, it was close between .204 and .22-250…. Only went with .22-250 because of ammo availability but the 40gr v-max or Blitzking actually has a higher BC and same speed.
hello master, what tuning do you use so that the accuracy is stable?
the best
Vmax bullets are great. I’ve used them for years. Then an old timer let me shoot some Sierra Blitzkings….mercy 🤢….. the expansion is amazing 2-3x more than the vmax. And the accuracy is toe to toe (or better). Just an option if you get bored with vmax.
What do you do with the geese after you shot it? Do you eat it or kook up for the dogs?
sports greetings from Indonesia
💪
Nice shooting and much more humane than bringing in predators to thin out the numbers.
Not so good for the environment though.
@@golden.lights.twinkle2329 If you're concerned about the environment, then stop using electricity, petrochemicals, manufactured products.
Put your beliefs into practice.
Nice
You have Dan Haggerty eyes. I think you greatly resemble Dan.
Hi Matt. Is there a reason why you and Gerhard don't do videos together anymore?
Did you say 3800fps????
🤯
I stopped watching his channel. His content seems to be 90% advertisement whereas Matt mentions equipment and I know he's sponsored but that isn't the primary focus of every video.
I know people who push to 4200 but they get crap brass life and go through barrels like crazy.
So u have meters on your scope to adjust easily how far u wamt to shoot ?
Lekkerrrrŕrrrste
i really want to get a 22-250 would be a big upgrade over a 17hmr
i wood like to join you on tips like this ..have a laker one
Luar biasa spot nya bro
Nice shooting, I'd set a man at that bank, then popped a end one and pushed them, auto shotgun,4 buck, cylinder bore. Pileup
Nice hunting idol FROM pilippines god bless idol
Jossssss..👍👍👍👍
Wow
What scope cam do you use?
Although the 6.5 Creedmore is the darling round presently, in my opinion it doesn't do anything the .260 Rem can't do as well. I shoot both and I like both but do not see much if any difference.
Roast geese… yum!!
Need to try out the 22 creedmoor and bridge the gap between the 250 and 6.5
Gap?
mantap salam dari sniper indonesia
