Another great reaction John to a song as you say not that well known outside Elvis circles but would have been a great single back then... As others have said he was born to sing and entertain and thanks to Marion Keisker who didn't let him get away back in 1953.

I agree 100%. This is a great song! I LOVE the rehearsal videos from 1970. It's clear that Elvis has shaken off the rust and hit his stride. His interpersonal dynamic with the core band members and later the backup singers is really fantastic. He could be a taskmaster, but he also loved to simply enjoy the moment jamming with the band and enjoying their individual talents and abilities. He also played - at times, the class clown! Thank you for the reaction.

@@johngibsonmusicGood for you, however ELVIS was always in control..In all of HIS rehearsals, you could see that HIS musicians, always focused on HIM...they never left HIS sight...Is it like that usually when band rehearsed or with ELVIS it was different....

This is such a great song I don't remember hearing and tge video omg Elvis his energy gave me chills when he started moving his hips. Its quite amazing after 50 yrs if I'm correct how he is gone that he can have still so much power over us with his videos, singing dancing performances, I just never get tired of watching Elvis Presley it's a severe addiction l have and one I will never get detox from. I saw ALIVE VERSION of true love travel down a GRAVEL ROAD. You know it was done ONCE .all we had was a AUDIO WITH pictures. There is a VIDEO OUT THERE OF THAT one time on stage with that SONG COULDNT CATCH who posted. It Looked really good,I believe it WAS real.nott shot by a camera I in THE crowd

Evis recorded the song in the june 1970 marathon... and sadly, he did sing the song live on stage just once... l love the song because of the tempo and the Melody... the only live Version was performed with more "horns" in the refrain as it was in the Studio version... thank you for picking this gem, John

Thank you for this, I just found you and I like that song too. I just like hearing Elvis joke around and having so much fun. This, I think, were his best years ever. Loved his sence of humor a lot. He is not only a singer, he had charisma. No one can portrait him because you would miss the charisma that he had. And I think you don’t need to know the man personally to know that he was a very nice, humble and friendly guy because off the stories and seeing him on stage and talking. Too bad he had an ashole for a manager who run him into the ground. He had too fire him when he was in Vegas. Thanks once more for this
