    Man I just LOVE that blue-red-yellow color scheme. I've seen it in early D&D artwork, in 80s/90s cartoons, and "dungeon blue" really seems to be crucial to old Zelda games.

    Your best location for your projector (if seeing the machine or the source of Beam of light is an issue)...
    Place it under your Game Table on Your Side. You can construct a protective wooden box for it so you won't accidentally Kick the Thing. (I strongly recommend Non Slip Rubber feet at the bottom) The Box can also serve as a nice convenient FootRest for you.

Too low like 320x240 and you'll see large pixel blocks). I have tested a few of the very cheap $50 ones which I would avoid.

    I wanted to ask so many questions as I first watched your original video. And to be honest, I still do. But this is so far above my skill set, I think I need to do a fair bit of research before I can ask questions that make any sense. Up front, the big question I'm considering is how you adapt any of this setup for your online players? Your incredibly surround effects are undoubtedly best experienced in person, but I know you have at least one online player. How do you incorporate any of the projections, etc. for that person? Do you have lots of different cameras and an easy way to toggle between them? Anyway, thank you again for the next-level demonstration. Lots and lots to learn! :)

      Yeah there might be a few ways to do it. If you have another computer at the game table you could trigger the videos by remote desktop on the projector PC. Another way is having a Chromecast hooked into the projector instead of a PC, then casting videos from the game table computer. In VLC media player, you can set the "Renderer" as the cast device.
      In this room setup, I just had a really long HDMI cable connected to the laptop at the game table.

    What applications do you use for the projector that allows you to change the image with the streamdeck?

    • @Atmoseeker
      @Atmoseeker  Před 2 lety +1

      In this setup, I'm using the projector as a secondary monitor with VLC player in full screen view. I set VLC as my default app for opening video files. On the streamdeck I use the file open command to open what video file I want, and it'll open it in the already active, full screen VLC player window on the projector

      The old camera here doesnt do a great job with low light. There's plenty of light to read books and character sheets from the spot lights, but I can understand if this kind of setup isn't something you're keen on. Hope you found something inspiring!
