Bittersweet seeing a new reaction to the Ricky Gervais Show now. Knowing you guys are right here at the end of one of the greatest podcast/animations of all time. I watched this entire series year ago right after an idiot abroad first aired and had completely forgotten about it until you guys started the series. Hope you guys have enjoyed this series as much as I did the first time through. Karl Pilkington is one of the most unique people that has ever lived on this planet, the fact that Ricky Gervais thought to make it into an animated series is the most genius idea ever.

When I used to listen to these (before the animated series) I always thought how incredible it'd be to have animation along with the conversations and stories. When it finally did come along it completely surpassed my expectations. Getting to illustrate Karl's ramblings must have been such a fun job for the artist/animators.
Nobody is mentioning how humble Karl is here. He’s TOTALLY unimpressed and uninterested in his worldwide fame. When people say ‘he hasn’t done much,’ he’s like ‘yeah I know.’ So many celebrities would be free of addiction and chaos if they embraced how unimportant they were, in the grand scheme of things
True. I think he is enormously mentally secure. He's embraced/accepted his inadequacies and made the absolute most of his strengths, and has decided to turn away from pursuing ultra fame even though it would've been entirely in his power to become even bigger and more widely known than he already is.

That in essence is what stress is, if we knew why we had depression or anxiety etc we would act immediately and stop it. I think stress is aptly named because it stresses you out actually wondering why you are stressed!

I will never understand why R/S/K stopped doing this show, I’ve heard Steve say “there’s only so many ways to make fun of Karl” but it was so much more than that. I’ve never found a program that makes me laugh on a rewatch like it’s my first time watching, but this one is different.
They mentioned George Best, the GOAT. Maradona the second best was also mentioned. Both men unfortunately had vices that ruined their lives down the line, but the magic on the pitch was something else.

Nobody ever mentions the illustrator for this show. ? As huge of a fan of these three as I have been over the past decade + , I still have no idea who does the drawings. (Or "draw-rings" as they sometimes pronounce it in the UK, lol) - and he or she really definitely deserves an Emmy - or its equivalent. Or at the very least a shout out. Not that Steve, Rick and Karl aren't absolutely hilarious on their own, the addition of the illustrations is what , in my opinion, has pushed the commentary into the stratisphere. Anyone know who the illustrator is? And has he or she has ever gotten any awards (Brit Award, etc.) for their incredible talent and contribution to this well-loved program? I mean, they not only illustrate what is being said, but they also add in a LOT of creative flavor of their own...plus they sometimes throw in details and characters that only a true fan might recall from past podcasts...I mean, they really go above and beyond. Just saying.

Karl truly is an enlightened person when you look at it from this angle: Karl thinks of all this amazingly dumb stuff while sober. Frank and Rondo clearly know how entertaining high thoughts can be and im sure so does most of the people commenting here lol. For Karl to just be sat there seeing how much drool he can produce or the amount of time he's spent passively watching insects and creating whole ass theories and stories for their little lives lol. It's like he's not that smart of a guy obviously, but instead of just being a mean dumb person he ended up getting gifted half a stoner mind that works once in awhile lol
In another instance of Karl being a bit prophetic, he talks about the side effects of all the shots he had to get, and the last one shows a poster that reads “dirty monkey vaccine.” Monkey Pox becomes a supposed thing, and again Karl is vindicated. Still laugh every time I see the episode where he’s roundly mocked for predicting virtual reality glasses…

I loved playing tennis in school but p.e in the uk is so bias because the girls were never allowed to play football. From that day I never attended p.e because the tennis went on only for a double lesson once every two weeks that lasts 6 weeks. Daft. Also instead of shorts we had to wear some navy underwear and short skirts when we did jumps ect. I didn’t like that I wasn’t allowed to wear shorts underneath the skirt that covered nothing. Bluurrpp.
