      I agree I think we need a cap on age for federal employees and politicians no one above 65 since they are stuck in their ways and are unable to change their minds. These lifetime appointments for judges is just ludicrous. After 80 years old they are not even capable of doing the job anymore and everything is being done by their aides and assistants, while driving this country into oblivion where we have been headed since Nixon took us off the gold standard.

      @philmessina476 Před rokem +3

      People, obviously, must be held accountable for any actions, which run afoul of the law. We all believe in the rule of law. But the rule of law also guarantees freedom of speech under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. That means people have a right to speak freely, to vent, to change their mind, or to hold fast to their convictions. Holding people accountable for their words doesn't mean censorship, nor self-censorship, which Senator J.D. Vance is suggesting.
      The American people have been dealing with "racialized" language since colonial times. After the Civil Rights movements of the 20th century, especially after the 1960s and '70s, the white supremacist establishment began to lose control of the narrative, which had been gaslighting the world about how bad non-whites are treated in the USA, relative to whites. The USA's white supremacist establishment once allowed slavery and Jim Crow, and still allows the New Jim Crow, which Dr. Michelle Alexander has brilliantly articulated. And, now, establishment politicians, like Senator J.D. Vance, want to persecute individuals elected to public office for First Amendment-protected activity. This shows an attempt to control the narrative about the white supremacist history of the United States, which still comes to the surface when politicians, like J.D. Vance, make specious and inflammatory arguments, which are actually anti-First Amendment arguments.
      Rightists (i.e., pro-capitalists or non-anti-capitalists) are not the only ones attacking the U.S. Bill of Rights. Liberals (i.e., pro-capitalists or non-anti-capitalists) do it, too, when they make specious arguments against "gun violence", which are actually arguments against the Second Amendment right to bear arms. A more sincere argument from liberals would not involve such a narrow argument, which blames the right to bear arms, and unfairly disparages responsible gun owners. A more sincere argument would take into consideration the complex factors, which lead to gun violence or violence, generally.
      The problem is we have a two-party dictatorship, which does not represent the American people, much less working-class people. The American two-party dictatorship only represents corporate power and the interests of the power elite. One of their main priorities is divide and conquer. The fallacy of "race", as Dr. Ashley Montagu described it, is one of the most effective ways to divide any population.
      The antidote to bad speech is good speech, not censorship, not self-censorship.
      Okay. That's my time. I gotta get back to the rat race.
      Working-class people, unite!

      They absolutely lost their minds when Trump was with Billy Bush & their private conversation was recorded when he made some crude & vulgar comments about grabbing women’s pooty. It’s vulgar, crude & infantile locker room like bro talk that is usually over the top & exaggerated chest thumping bro talk. Many hypocrites acted like they’ve never said stupid & crude things said in private & in confidence in places like gyms, locker rooms or your own home. Imagine if people we actually judged by their usually half-serious & mostly humorous albeit vulgar & crude private conversations. 99% of at least men would be cancelled. Private bro talk is usually crude & juvenile unless you’re Jeeves or have an English accent where even verbiage of a vulgarian nature sounds eloquent.
      My big problem is the hypocrisy & the projection. Many of the loudest & biggest accusers out there making judgements are guilty of the very transgressions they claim to call out. Also, when a certain political slant gets called out for their hypocrisy, some how they way they did something was different. E.G. The Dems & media were doing backflips when Trump had the classified doc scandal. His place got raided by FBI with guns at the ready. The left & Dems were absolutely crestfallen when the Big Guy got busted for the same thing but since he “had fewer documents” & “was being forthright & open about it” it was a totally different situation.
      I’m not a Trumper or Republican but am troubled by thehypocrisy, lies, double standards & hypocrisy of the extreme establishment left. There is so much toxic rhetoric & divisive verbiage coming from them as they spew “Ultra Maga” this & “Ultra Maga” that. The claim was made 2 years ago that unity & common ground would be sought but when toxic rhetoric is being spewed like venom it’s outright lies or projection, deflection or distraction. Thing are so rabidly tribal that people will eschew integrity & intellectual honest just to tow their narrative’s line because they’ve created a atmosphere where deviation from the prescribed n
      & accepted narrative is proscribed. You must blindly follow the narrative based on emotion, not facts or the truth lest you be cancelled. The normative distraction playbook now is to scream pejoratives like “racist,” or “transphobic” if you dare question anything. Or if you not labeled one of the “-ists” it could be “an existential threat to democracy.” It’s more like a threat to their authoritarian & tyrannical power flexing. They keep trying to usurp more power so the State & it’s entities can be weaponized to attack & arrest dissenting parents or silence critics on social media. It’s freaking scary. I don’t think they even realize how close they are treading to tyranny as outright gaslighting, lying, manipulating & other methods of disingenuous government subterfuge & abuses of power has become acceptable in their eyes. Their ends justify their means unless it doesn’t align with them. Freaking scary.

      Yes, she's correct on that, but the timeframe of an alleged infraction being made, then heading to court and then having a ruling made can stretch for years. In that time, massive corruption can continue to work it's evil. The ATF is case in point. All their "rulings" do indeed get challenged in court, but years pass before they are reined-in for their overreach.
      Anyone who has been politically/legally interested in government over the last few decades knows this, and I think SHE knows this too. The legal system takes way too long to render justice while evil and corruption can operate freely in that time.

      I truly hate being cynical, but it’s almost certain that Vance’s handlers remind him at each stop about salient factoids pertaining to the local populace. This type of name and fact dropping massively boosts the constituency’s trust in and admiration of politicians who use this technique.
