Hello, my name is Sara and welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this beautiful crochet border with fans. It’s fast and easy and you can even add it to any crochet blanket with any crochet stitch and even on knit project like baby blankets.
For the tutorial I used a light #3 baby yarn with a 4.5mm Crochet hook since that is what i used to make the blanket. You will have to use the same hook that you used to make your blanket with.
If this is your first time here, I've been doing crochet tutorials in Spanish for a while now and have been asked by a lot of my subscribers to do tutorials in English too. I hope you like and subscribe to my channel and if you see a tutorial in Spanish and would like for me to do it in English, please comment below with the tutorial number and I will gladly do it. I hope you enjoy my channel and if you decide to subscribe, thank you in advance. I also have a new knitting channel. Link if above.

if you do the single crochet row in a multiple of 6 instead of 10, it comes out even. then you wont have to skip over extra double crochets on the fan row's corners. this is a gorgeous border. thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial.

Thank you so very much for sharing this. I just finished this border on a C2C blanket using the traditional stitch. I used the Red Heart with Love Renaissance for the whole body, and then the Caron One Pound in Ivory for this border with a J 6mm Hook. I did the sc and the DC rows of the border with the Renaissance, then the Ivory, Renaissance, then ended with the Ivory for both the last fan and the last row with the chain lace stitch. So very happy how this turned out. I think it just looked amazing with the yarn I used

I would love to do this border but the blanket I want to put it on makes it hard to distinguish what I should do, outside of counting every stitch. I heard where you said each (opposing) side should have 30 or 40 (equal amounts). I feel like I missed something. Thank you so much for any help!

Me encantaría volver hablar contigo.

Beautiful. Just found you and subscribed to this and your new channel. Good luck from a very dull and wet Belfast NI. FYI.... I have a tall Holly tree right outside the front of my house. We've kept control over it so that its tall but not overly broad, it's a very nice shape. It is ALWAYS loaded with red berries...... such a delight to sit at my sewing machine downstairs on this wet morning and have this lovely tree to enjoy. It is a food supermarket for all the little birds. :).... Just a little picture from my window. Keep safe, I wish you well during this pandemic. Crochet hands link us across the world:-).

So I now have been trying to count my stitches to make sure my top and bottom and then the left and right sides are equal but I trip myself up counting the corners. Glad you like it and yes I’ve been told that before. I was taught to crochet by a dear friend who was taught how to crochet by her grandmother. She told me that where they lived wool was not readily available so in order to “save” wool they would crochet this way. Luckily the stitch looks exactly the same if done the other way. Thanks for watching 😊

If I may ask....what brand, yarn did you use for the #3 light weight yarn...I'm having trouble picking out a soft baby yarn for the blanket. Also, any idea as to the size of a baby blanket for bed or carriage? Also, if I make a baby blanket with the c2c stitch, is there a utube channel to follow in making matching little booties and a bonnet or hat for a christening. Thank you.

Can you put this on the shell stitch blanket? Here it shows a straight edged blanket? If you can please let me know. Any help you can give me will be appreciated. Thank you 😊

Hello Love this border but was wondering is there is a slow version on this tutorial

Glad you like it but I don’t have a slower version. Y ou can however slow down any video here in CZcams by clicking on the 3 dots on top or the settings wheel at the bottom. Maybe this will help. Thanks for watching.
