I can remember being 10 years old very vividly and when you're at that age you're sometimes really immersed in things whether it's TV shows, movies or video games etc.
It feels like you're actually in that world and nothing at that time brought me more joy than hearing your voice knowing the Pokemon episode was about to start!
I was extremely shy at school, I had to repeat the first grade because I didn't want to ask for help if I didn't understand a question or what we were supposed to do in class. I actually didn't speak at all until the 3rd grade, I never played with other kids, I would just stand by myself watching everyone else. But in 1999 when Pokemon came here to Australia, everyone and I mean everyone was talking to each other about Pokemon and trading cards. I had cards myself and because I loved Pokemon so much I was really excited to talk to other kids about it and trade cards with them that I finally started speaking to people for the first time and making friends. From there I just came out of my shell like a bat out of hell! In the fourth grade my teacher told my parents that they thought I would be an actor some day because I loved being on video and always stood out in class, In the 6th grade my teacher would tell me I would be a comedian one day, always reading stories I had created in front of the class, making everyone laugh. Now for the last 7 years I've been a succesful CZcamsr (not on this channel I'm commenting from, this is just an alt account), being on camera & gaining hundreds of millions of views!
I could talk about what Pokemon did for me as a kid for days. But I truly believe that you singing those songs (and not just the theme song) was the backbone of something that positively changed countless kid's lives all across our planet. I don't think it would've taken off to the same extent or had been what it was without you JP!
I'm 33 years old now & it's amazing to see that you're still sending out those positive vibes and killin' it! :D
