What words can I even say, Jason?
Nothing will ever be profound enough to explain what you've done for us all. Perhaps it may sound silly, it's just a song after all, isn't it? I don't believe so. It's truly so much more. A beautiful work of magic and artistry is the closest thing I can articulate. I have to apologize, as words fall short.
We can tell you gave your all in this performance, let me speak for so many others when I say how much we appreciate it, your enormous effort to entertain us as children is not wasted on us.
My fondest and clearest memories of my childhood is waiting for Pokémon to come on at my grandmothers after school. I was born in 1999 and I also grew up with the Pokemon anime. Me and my sister also collected the cards as well, and kept them in a binder I believe. We didn't really play the trading card game, per say. We just really liked admiring the cards themselves. Honestly, the only things I never really tried out in the franchise were the games themselves. Don't get me wrong. I had always heard about them, seen them in stores and even saw commercials on TV in the 2000's. But for some reason or another I just never got around to trying them out for myself. Maybe one day. Gotta catch 'em all!

I so intensely loved and still love the way this song was sung. One of the best singers ever. Just heading this song teleports me back into time. My childhood was so happy. I’m autistic and this is the first hyper fixation I remember having. I knew all of the evolutions, I had a ton of cards, and I brought my pikachu stuffed animal everywhere I went. There is a video somewhere in the depths of CZcams of 8 year old me showing off my Pokémon cards. This show genuinely means a lot to me because it’s the first time I remember feeling pure joy over an interest. I still have some of my Pokémon jewelry I made and bought too.
To say this is wonderful would be an understatement, Pokémon was a big part of my childhood and developing as an autistic person. Even now I still have faint memories of me repeating the caterpie evolution while I played with toys. This show is very sentimental to me and this theme song brings back so many times where I wasn’t afraid to be my true self or hide my autism to be a functioning member of society, I could truly be myself without the pressure of others. I hope you guys see this and appreciate how much of an impact this show had not just on my life but so many other peoples lives too.

I remember sitting at home with my dad who had both of his legs amputated. His bed was in the living room, and while my Mom worked, me and my Dad would sit at home and watch pokemon together. He died when I was 6, but pokemon kept me from losing myself. The doctors stopped counting the blood clots in his brain around 20. When he passed, I was devastated, defeated, and hopeless. But then I would remember sitting with him watching pokemon. Jason Paige, you saved me from shutting off the world entirely. It took years for me to finally talk to people and make friends, but now I have friends, and pokemon is still a huge part of my life. I would sing along with the opening and my dad would just smile. Thank you, it sounds silly that a show about 10 year old kids going on an adventure with an electric rat would have such a big impact on my life. I miss my father a lot, but whenever I play pokemon or listen to a song from the soundtrack, those dark times seemed to disappear as light is brought to the center stage. You are amazing, never forget that. You changed lives, and inspired people to become the most powerful nerds in the universe! Seriously, you have changed the lives of thousands of people and from the bottoms of our hearts, thank you.

Jason Paige I want to personally say a huge big Thank You from the deepest part of my heart. Your song affected my childhood and in a good positive way! I had a very difficult childhood growing up and been through a lot of crap. Every time I watched the cartoons on Saturday morning on the WB I heard this song. This song brought so much happiness into my life as a child and encouraged me to live another day and keep fighting in life and not to give up. Out of all the darkness and depression growing up in a chaotic system in foster care this song made me forget about all my troubles and made me actually feel like a normal kid like everyone else. And I played Pokemon Blue on my Gameboy Color and forgot everything and just had pure happiness and peace. I don't know if you know how your music, this one little song, changed our lives in a good way. It's been like over 20 years and I am just now going back to pokemon and replaying the games. I found out you created this beautiful theme song and looked up your name. I know your so famous you'll never see my comment but I just wanted to say Thank you for creating such a great awesome childhood, a gift that goes beyond any value of any materialistic value. Some years ago, I heard this song for the first time since my childhood and I was overwhelmed with emotion. My friend felt the same when he heard it for the first time as an adult too. Thank you for the passion you put into this song. You're a part of the wonderful collective memory of Pokemon that brought joy to so many children, and continues to bring joy to us as adults 20 something years later. God, this is the best song from the whole Pokemon series. I'm ready to shed a tear for such wonderful creativity. It's just a pity that there is still no official music video for this song. I'd like to see it. No matter how many remakes and covers are made, the original will always be better. The original conveys exactly those very first and most long-standing emotions that right now simply cannot be found in any new series. I seriously wonder just how much of the Pokemon franchise's success in the West can be attributed to the fact that the first season of the cartoon had this absolutely brilliant performance for its opening theme. The music, lyrics, and animation still would've been enough to make it a GOOD opening even with a merely competent singer; but Jason really does something magical with his voice that makes it all feel so much more real and intense, and elevates it to truly legendary status.

I didn’t expect to get so emotional listening to this. Pokémon was my escape from the abuse I endured every day. No matter how bad it got I was always welcome in the world of Pokémon. I still remember quietly signing along to this theme in front of the TV while played Fire Red on GBA.
