the funniest part of this comparison and the r31 silhouette is that theyre both directly modeled of the exact same car in nissans zama collection, so no excuses for it being a different car/year/model
This is insane, thanks for all the work. My channel is focused on engine sound and I just exposed the copy paste done by forza on the V12 cars, GT7 has stepped the game up incase of engine sound design, I‘m slowly building up my collection in GT7 to record some stuff and compare them

Hey @AutomotiveVP love your videos. So there's a few little details in GT7 that I don't think you have yet talked about in your channel, and it may be interesting to have a video showing them and even comparing to other games to see if they have the same features. So I'll list some things that i have noticed below:
-the way the grass ripples as the cars drive by
-the way sparks, gravel and grass physically interact with the ground before they disapear (unlike most games that just use some 2D efects that just go through the ground)
-rain drops are actually 3d objects (take a look in photo mode. Again, most games just use some screen effect to simulate rain)
-there is actually wind in the game. It affects the smoke, spray, rain, flags and even the cars (best way to see the effects on the top speed is in the two straights and the tunnel in special stage route x)
-tire wear is actually visible (best way to see is in f1 cars)
I'm probably forgetting some more but i guess that's enough for an entertaining video.

Rubber marbles ! In VR you'll see the rubber marbles building up on the outside of the corner, flicking off the cars. Pretty sure I have literally parked up on a corner and seen them in a lobby so must be there in replays, especially VR replays. VR Replays is the best place to see the grass moving etc you mention. 👍
@@clacky78 you are right, but in VR there is less detail than the standard PS5 version. For example, the grass density in VR is closer to the PS4 pro version. Let's hope poliphony updates the VR version to take advantage of the power of PS5 pro so we can have full quality in VR.
I was playing GT7 this morning and bought the Corolla Levin Trueno or whatever. I was watching the highlights in the showroom, and the camera zoomed into one of the tail lights. I could clearly see the Toyota stamp and serial number on the freaking taillight. I was speechless.
Gran turismo is on another level. When i looked at a car via vr for thr first time i couldn’t believe that i was looking at a videogame. The amount of detail is simply insane.
Forza doesn't look bad - sometimes it even looks good - right up until you compare it to GT7.
Let's just hope that Polyphony's work pushes Turn 10 to do much better next time. Competition improves the breed.
Honestly Forza looks good till you look at it closely, then it looks terrible. GT looks great at speed and impresses even more up close. Plus VR2 and 120fps? There's a clear winner.

Im a big Forza fan that just started playing GT again with GT7 a few weeks ago and i love GT7. I never got Gold in any of the older GT games licenses and now with years of racing games experience, im getting Golds on EVERYTHING including Circuit Experiences. I AM GETTING A WHEEL SOON. I do good with a controller but i think id do better with a wheel.
I have a relatively good PC, but I'm planning to buy a PS5 when I can basically because of GT.
I'm so disappointed with Forza.
so, gold in gt7 is actually kinda easy compared to gold in older games. i recently got gold on every gt4 licence test and it was a challenge, but on gt7? not so much. but i think its just cus the game feels better and more predictable (i.e. the cars do what i expect them to do lol)

do the circuit experiences have platinum medals? i know they did in gt sport but i havent actually bothered doing any in gt7

@@XenonArcher And its not always easier in GT7. The Circuit Experience for Watkins Glen in the Genesis Gr.3 car is HARD. Even hitting the corners so fast that the car wont hold the track you almost fail everytime. And for the Licenses, i think its my years of racing game experience that helps me get Golds.
wow, the attention to detail in GT7 is unreal! Just blown away by the attention to detail in the instrument cluster and how it looks in the light and shadow: how the greenish white backlit glow of the speedometer shows through whenever it's in shadow just gives me goosebumps.
“Built from ground up” when the chrome bumpers in Forza STILL look like absolute dogshit. Please tell me I’m not the only one that’s been appalled for years at the chrome “reflection” turn 10 won’t fix

As someone who doesn't game on PC, i'm happy to have a PlaySation where I can play GT. I loved the original Forza on my Xbox, but I was disappointed by Forza 2 when I played on my friend's 360, that feeling has only increased with each reales that I have played (tho after 2 I only played each one a little bit)

i dont need details that are visible in 8x zoom, but what i realy miss is VR support in Forza. I really hope GT will come to PC or Forza will have this feature later.

Whats funny is that the PS4 version while it doesn't look as good as the PS5 it looks really great for the old hardware.
I would say GT7 on the PS4 can still look as good as Forza on the Series X with ray tracing on.
I did comparisions with same car, same track/weather/time and people still defended Forza while GT7 looked as good or better on the PS4 Slim.
I said it before, and I'll say it again: the sole reason why Forza Motorsport exists is just to get a share of Gran Turismo's money train.
Gran Turismo is what I call a casual sim; clearly, Forza Motorsport aimed to be a high-adrenaline, more immersing racing sim. Just buy NFS Shift 2; they have done it miles better.
The most important is not how it looks, but how it feel on the track.
How does the car handle and react.
And of course it s never the angle of comparaison between the two games...

If only Gran Turismo 7 was on PC. Or at least we didn't have to pay for online.
As much as it's possibly the greatest racing game (minus hardcore simulation games), it's a ±600$/€/£ purchase just for one game, and having to still pay to play it. Probably if with PS5 Pro or something like that, I won't be able to stand against the greatness.

Why is Forza so bright? It’s like there are studio lights beaming down on your surroundings the entire time. That’s the first thing that jumps out to me immediately. I understand if they wanted the game to be vibrant, but you have to put a leash on it at some point haha.

I like both games and played both from the beginning but switched to forza 2 when it first came out because once granturismo changed there camera view it was shit but granturismo has always been at the top when it come to car models and graphics in my opinion they are always spot on and gt7 is there best work yet forza looks plastic

As a lifelong Forza player, the visual porn is wank (excuse the pun), even with the hadware raytracing enabled. Everything is overexposed and undersaturated. I really can't justify getting a PS5 to just play GT, but I think I should based on all of your vids. At least my T300 and TLCM setup is already configured for PS.

Compare the sounds of the engines in these games! In the Gran Turismo series of games, the problem is the sounds of the cars. They're so bad they even make a vacuum cleaner sound nicer! In this aspect, the GT series is inferior to any racing simulator! But the sound of the engine is 50% of the fun of playing in a simulator. So stop constantly praising Polyphony Pigital and celebrating the failures of other racing games! The guys from Japan also have something to do, and have been doing so for a long time!

Go to MotogamesTV or Racing vista youtube channels and check the sound comparision betwen this games, the GT7 is much more accurate, for example the Lamborguini Murcielago on Forza have the engine note of the Aventador, is that the accuracy of FM... or check the Lexus LFA sound comparision, the GT7 have much more accuracy than FM, the vaccum cleaning sound joke died in GT6 because since GT Sport the Gran Turismo series have much more accuracy than FM titles... you can check that in the comparision vídeos like i said you before...

Who buys a kid a $500+ console?
