hey! i'm a student in chicago and i loved the video! it's cool to see a film youtuber in the city. keep it up =)
Hi Paul, I have this lens and I love it.
Keep shooting!!!
Cool video, thx for making it. Got my eye on the R3A
Hey Paul, nice Video and thanks for the review! Probably a little late but the red halation you mention is actually present on every film medium. That's one thing that differs most from digital, which has more blueish halations. When you watch old movies, shot on film you actually can see those as well there :) Hope you still shooting film! Cheers
pls keep posting about this r2m.
jay jay by jay working on it! Gotta find free time to shoot
so cool. thanks for sharing. am considering this camera :O
good video and photos :) keep it coming. Greetings from Germany
Thanks so much! I have a video I shot over a month ago that I should get around to editing...
Paul Copeland waiting for it :) have a good time over there
Hi- I just picked up a R2m and mounted a Voigtlander 40mm 1.2..... heading out this weekend- what is clear, and from what I heard, saw from others- this is best used for exactly what I like to do- street shooting (San Francisco)... loved your shots.... so weird to see photos from pre-Covid.... anyway- hope you are well and safe!
That’s an awesome combination!
Nice video. I just discovered this série of voigtlander cameras and they are beautiful. There are some very tiny lenses with them which make a very light package. I love the very simple ones which use lmt lenses (m39 and not Leica M bayonet) but this one is better quality (more metal) and heavier.
I really like your video,BTW im a programer too .
Hope u can share more test about r2m video,i really wanna get the retro one.
I am on the HUNT for an R2A. Nice video here.
You still looking?
Really like what do did. Thanks. I'm also looking for an R2. Did you find it in amazon? if you don't mind, could you please tell me the price, thanks!
tuethuc I actually bought it off the /r/photomarket subreddit!
@@paulcopeland4446 Could you please explain more the difference between R2, R2m, R2a ?
tuethuc yeah! So R2 is a plastic body and has a different meter and rewind lever, it still takes Leica M lenses. R2M is an upgraded R2, with 1/2 stop metering and metal build. The R2A is an aperture priority version of the R2M, and will not fire without electronics.
I was originally looking for an R2 and intended to spend money on better glass, but this good deal landed in my lap
i noticed that camera came in an Amazon box? Did you buy it off Amazon or was that just a repurposed box the seller was using?
Nope! I bought it off someone from Reddit.
hi is this auto focus?
Sherwin H nope, like most film cameras it is fully manual. Both exposure and focus are manual.
@@paulcopeland4446 wow i see. how is this compared to famous point and shoot like Canon Autoboy, Nikon L35AF ? are those less sought after?
Sherwin H those are probably more sought after because they’re point and shoots. P&S cameras are fully electronic and are more rare because they are prone to failure. This camera is fully mechanical, the battery is only used for the light meter. If you’re looking for a point and shoot I don’t think this camera is for you. I wouldn’t spend $800 on a camera that relies on electronics to run, I spent about $100 on my Ricoh R1 point and shoot.
