Jose Antunez's job at Spartan Home Services puts him closer to the sun than most. "We work is like 4 or 6 hours through the day, and then we stop by 1:00, because after 1:00, it starts getting too hot and then we do more harm to the roof than doing any good," Antunez said. And when temperatures reach triple digits, that can be a challenge. “We have to keep in consideration that, with the heat, we take more breaks than usual because we have to be safe," Antunez said.
