Do you have a Cricut? Are you excited to make your own stencils? Which material/substrates do you use that I may not have mentioned? Happy Cutting! 😁🌷💗
Why am I being charged for "stencil backgrounds" I am doing the $1.00 trial, is that why?
@@RainDropps I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about. It's free to watch my videos. There's no charge on my end.
Hi, i have a budget 200, what circuit machine i can buy?
@@greenfox.96 I believe the Cricut Air is linked. If it's still available it's a great deal. 😁
Thanks, I found you video very helpful
So informative.
I like leaving more of a border around my stencil so I can use that space to tape it down to my project and not cover any of the stencil.. instead of using "slice" in design space I'm using "subtract" and you don't have those extra pieces you aren't using to delete.
Awesome video! I love making stencils on my Maker. An easy way to get rid of the design in the outer margin, rather than making a shape and welding it, is to just use Contour and get rid of them! I also always use my deep cut blade for stencils. It cuts perfectly the first time 99% of the time. Also my absolute favorite substrate for stencils is Grafix craft plastic. The same that is being suggested for alcohol inks recently. I have been using the grafix craft plastic for stencils for years. Also, Yupo paper works beautifully for stencils. So it’s a good two for one deal for card makers.
Yes, that's certainly an easy way! Where's my head at sometimes! lmao 🤣😁 I too have the Grafix and have used it. That's a great suggestion Cindi!
Thanks for sharing. I'm going to see if I can make the stencil too, but will need to watch the video AND take notes.
You can do it!! 😉😁
Great tutorial! Can't wait to try. I am interested in making layered stencils.
Oh my goodness, I was just thinking the other day about how I could make my own stencils and up pops your video, thank you thank you hon. I saved, drooled, and patted my ipad when I was watching this video. I can’t thank you enough for this video. You rock!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great minds think alike! lol 💗
This video has been very informative!!! You’ve answered every single question I had, PLUS MORE! 🖤 Thank you! Can’t wait to get started 😁
Thank you so much for sharing. Love your videos
Amazing ideas thank u🌸💕😊
Thank you so much for this fine video i think, now i dare to make some stencils to
Very informative. Thanks!
You always teach me the best things!! New to Cricut and am really a card maker. This is perfect.
I'm glad you think so. Thank you for watching 😊🌷
Another great inspirational video! Thank you!
You are so welcome Deborah 😊💗
Fantastic job, Cindy-Lyn!
Thanks Miss Sharon 💗💐
You hit it out of the ball park! Thank you for all of your tips and tricks, this is fabulous! I've only used card stock to make stencils, I know that's not ideal but it is what I have on hand and I used dies. I do have a brother scan n cut ........
You can do this there. Just open the SVG is Canvas Workspace and cut. Not sure about all the editing abilities lol. Have Fun! 😁💐
Thanks for sharing
Brilliant great tutorial thank you
You’re welcome 😊
very helpful
Thank You
Dollar Tree carries those scrapers!!
WooHoo 🙌🏼 gonna watch now, just had to make some noise🎉
I like noise! lol 🤣💗
Great video Cindy Lyn. I can’t wait to make some stencils.
The metal scraper you use looks like the scrapers used for bread dough.
Yup, it sure is. Repurposed! haha 😁🌷
Thank you for the lesson. I will need to rewatch a few times to make it stick but It will sink in😄
Thanks Peggy, there are timestamps too. That way you can go back to where you need to 😁🌷
I need a cricut lol all them bits that come out would be great for shaker cards
Yes you could totally use them for shaker cards. I've often thought the same thing. I'm just too lazy to clean them up and store them 🤪🤣
Brilliant tutorial 😊 thank you. I want to use stencils on my polymer clay. Can I use Procreate to design my own the cut on my cricut maker ? I know I have to make it an sgv file ❤
You could also contour out those little bits. Much easier imo
You absolutely can. Sometimes I forget there's an easy way in life! 🤣😊
I’m over here losing sleep trying to get this laminator technique to work 😭😭😭 HELP ! 🤯😫
All I can say is follow the steps in the video 😉
Great video and very helpful! Thank you! May I ask where you got your cleaning mat to clean your stencils? You called it your scrubby cleaner.
In the description 👇😉💗
Great video! Where do you buy your replacement blades for the scan n cut?
These work wonderfully geni.us/nZdB 😁
I got my bench scrapper from Dollar tree
Great video!! I have a Cricut Maker and some 10 ml mylar. I guess that's no bueno? I thought a bit thicker would be better but you said no. Why? TFS!! Love your helpful videos!
I bought the 10mil thinking the same thing when I first started to try stencils on my Cricut. The 10mil takes many passes to cut, if it cuts at al. But the 6-7mil is perfect and sturdy. I have never had a stencil tear. The
I find the 10mil to be far too thick than the industry standard for stencils. Many people don't have the deep cut blade too. However, if you have both then have 'ater for sure 😉😁
Thank you for this tutorial 😊 could I ask what the cleaning mat thing is called and where you purchase it please ❤
Sorry this is an old video. Can you telle at which time in the video you saw it? Thx so much 😉
I'm just learning how to make stencils - one question I do have can you take a digital paper that you love the design on and take that design and turn it into a stencil? And this is not stencil related - but do you need to clean your scrubbie cleaner and how would one clean the wet side. Love you tutorial videos.
I only cut them on mylar. As for your scrubby, just use Dawn dish soap 😉😊
I can't see the BLADES LISTED! I'm looking for the most cost effective blade for the Cricut Joy! Thank you for this video. I'm hoping to make my own stencils for airbrushing and lure painting so I only need a small plotter.
This isn't a video about the Cricut Joy. Sorry
@@_MyInkieFingers You state ....DIY stencils with CRICUT! You don't mention any of the Cricut machines in particular!
@@PENFOLD1962 wow calm down mate. As I said, this is not a Cricut Joy video. I wouldn't come to your house and be rude so don't come to mine and be a jerk. As a matter of fact, you're welcome to not come by ever again.
I have the maker, with the knife blade. Would I set my pressure on more when cutting 7mil?
You can certainly do that 😊🌷
Are these usable with the scan n cut too or just circuit
You can try it 😁💗
Will the cricut maker 3 or siser Juliet cut the 7mil or 7.5 mil Mylar sheets? Can you cut 7 or 7.5 Mylar on them?
7 will work. But be sure to run it through a few times 😉
I had the same experience with a manual die cutting machine -- it "mushes" into the plastic more than actually cutting through.
Thank you for chiming in Rachel. Good to know! 😊🌷
