They need to change the ruling in roughing the passer when a defensive player makes contact with the knee of a qb or lower, if he gets blocked and then rolls into the quarterbacks knee or below he is not forcibly trying to hit that area
@@TomBrown-cq4vu You can’t compare that to a CFL game, you are getting hit from behind head on, my comment was trying to say that if a defensive player unintentionally rolls into the qb then it shouldn’t be called roughing the passer as it isn’t forcibly trying to hit the qb as it’s stated in the rule
I was at this game. The clips didn't show everyone leave the field and half the fans heading for the bus. Then a voice comes over the loudspeaker and everything starts back up again. I'm glad I sat under the roof too. The rain killed any offense for most of the match.
If Command Center does not smarten up. We will lose fans to the NFL bad calling no calling on other plays it something that needs to be addressed. The call at the end of the game is a prime example.
People will come back. no fun league will provide no fun. CFL is great. And that call was great. You just don't understand that it was a great call. You just mad that the game ended in a tie.
@teo_heel that call was bull. It was over, and both teams were on the field. Then give a fresh set of downs from the original start, which is having a third chance for Ottawa to win. Cut blocking and leaving a player in jeopardy especially the QB IS ball. If that was the only way to swing the odds the Command Center did a great job.
@@shycourage4992 command center did what they should've done. The made the right call. I have more questions on that DPI called in the first OT then on the Roughing the Passer call. And who said that the game was over? Did officials ANNOUNCED that the game was over? No, they didn't. They were awaiting the decision on that play and it was obviously checked for potential penalties. And that call was missed originally... but officials didn't missed that call when Miles Brown tripped on route to Dru Brown and landed on his legs injuring him in the process. That was the same play almost. The only difference is that Crum was lucky enough to not get injured.
Called the wrong player on the call. In the first series of OT it was definitely interference when the flag was thrown by Mace. You can be on the back of the receiver when the ball is at least two feet away for the catch. I doubt the command center would have called it.
The Command Center has zero credibility now. That was absolutely a make up call for their previous PI call on Ottawa. That’s a dangerous game to play. The CFL wants to be taken seriously yet they act like such a bunch of amateurs.
Let's hope that Ottawa QB Dru Brown isn't injured for too, long. The franchise has had a lot of QB injuries (and losses) in recent years. Strange game. Go REDBLACKS!
Where in eff was the roughing the passer call in overtime???? The command centre is a joke. Wow, Rider's got robbed of a win. CFL officiating on and off the field continues to be awful.
Remember folks, if it's 3rd and 22 don't bother trying to gain the yards, just shove a D lineman into the QB's legs and get the RTP penalty. 15 yards and a first down. I turned the game off. Why bother?
I understand protecting QB’s. But dam these roughing the passer rules are stupid. Seems the only player on the field that’s protected from a low hit is the QB.
It wasn't. It's the same play that was called right in the 2nd quarter when Dru Brown was injured. The exact same action. Defender rushes to the QB, gets tripped and falls on the QB's legs.
