- Kanye West recently purchased his childhood home in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood. The musician’s mother, Donda West, purchased the home back in the early 1980s and sold it 2004.
I’m so proud of him. He will make more memories in it.😊
I wish I could buy the home where my Mom and I lived in when I was in high school in Colorado.. looking back it was the only time in my life when life was carefree, and safe. Course at the time I couldn’t wait to be on my own and be grown. I’m 40 now and still to this day when I can’t sleep I picture myself in my old high school bedroom.
Reminds me how J.Cole bought his child hood home on Forest Hills Drive, restored it, and then allowed struggling families to live in it, with all of its amenities for free.

@Tommy De Sadi I am fully aware. It would be a wise financial decision. It would grab the media attention and would help numerous families. He could renovate 400 homes to tip top shape for less than 20 million. Drop in the bucket. He has probably spent more on one home at some point
Edit: He lives in a 60 million dollar home. He can renovate 1000 homes with that money

This is my dream. One of my childhood homes is a duplex that’s still standing. The other one was torn down so it’s just a lot, but I’d love to build a home on it, once I have the money to do extra things like that
I grew up in that neighborhood as a matter of fact growing up I walked past is place many times . I used to hoop at rainbow all the time . I knew people who lived around there . Wow !! It’s something
