Lately I’ve seen videos on the Denver minted bicentennial quarter with the center of the “D” filled and are selling on eBay for $500+. I’ve found three of those already. Anybody know about these?
That is simply a die chip. Not nearly worth the $500+ you're seeing on ebay. These are normal.

The BEST Example I can remember was I think in 2019; an MS69 silver Bicentennial Quarter from the “Fuller Collection”. It sold in the area I think of around $17 - $18 THOUSAND CLAMS!! Nothing close EVER since.

Thank you so much for this video. I had gone through a bag of about 30 of these 1976 quarters that my grandpa had saved from circulation back in 2017 and didn't find anything out of the ordinary, and so I cashed them in. And yes, I did spend the time to research every kind of information on them that I could fin before hand. And then, things changed as far as price spiking in 2021. And so, I've been feeling like guilty and ashamed that maybe I could have missed something. Thank you for the relief and justifying my decision a few years ago. And yes, I'm still cherishing all the other old coins that he left me. Have a good day.
I got a 1976 quarter at my car wash yesterday and a 2011 s mint quarter. Seen that one right away. Made me think if the car wash got a box of coin from the bank that was a collection dump?

I remember back in the late 90s or early 2000S that the mint still had lot of the bicentennial quarters and Halfs in the mint or the treasury had so many bags of them that were not issued that they said they would still last several years with out striking a new quarter or Half dollar that they melted a lot of them and Susan b Anthony dollars to make nickels I remember reading it in coin world or coins magazine have you heard anything about that

Re: the '76-D quarter roll busted out of mint sets. They probably recouped their money on either putting together Ike rolls or selling the individual coins on eBay at $10 bucks a pop. That's what I'd do, anyway. 40 mint sets w/ 80 Bicentennial Ikes @ $10 bucks each? That's 800 bones if you're patient enough. 🤷♂
Still my favorite coin. When they came out my attention to coins was reignited along with everything collectable from the bicentennial. Hoping they do something special, think westpoint quarters, on the one coming up in 2026
I have so many bicentennial coins its not even funny. Most of them were saved from the release in 1976. They are absolutely beautiful and I couldnt give them away if I tried. They just arent worth anything. Lol
