I’m a Liberian Artist based in Germany but spend my entire life in Liberia growing up as a kid. And I have never been to sierra in my life but my mom once told me I was born in BO during the 1990 war when they left Liberia for Sierra Leone. I was a kid when they came back to Liberia never knew myself at that time and donot know nothing about Sierra Leone history but I can See from this video the Sierra-Leoner I trying better then Liberian. I’m a Liberian passport holder but the truth must be told and I pray to see Sierra Leone someday

Fact
Sierra Leone looks more developed because Liberia had a 14 year civil war which started in the middle of Monrovia. I was there.
Also the war in Sierra Leone started in the rural and most of it was in the rural areas for years. I was in that one too. My parents are from those countries respectively. Also the landscape of both countries are different. Liberia is rebuilding and Sierra Leone is working on development.

First of all , I like to say better to avoid framing this type of heading"which city is beautiful" rather to have "two beautiful cities". Ok I was in both the cities one ear each. Each of them are unique in their own way. As I am from a third country and from different continent, I can say this much both the cities have attracted me. The things monrovia offered me was not fully available in sierra leone and vise versa. May be in area and high rise building point of view, sierra leone is bigger but monrovia attracted me a lot. But one thing is common the people of boh are very charming and good heart. West Africa will prosper more and more.

As a African American I am glad you did this video on both West African countries who are neighbors. Liberian having been started by freed American Blacks and Sierra Leonn started by freed British Blacks. These two (2) unique countries are really relatives Many Blacks in America and Blacks in Britain are not aware of these great nations in Western Africa sincerely thank you.

Definitely Freetown, Sierra Leone is more beautiful than Monrovia, Liberia. I am a Liberian; but I must be truthful. Liberia has a long way to go... the government needs to start putting the country first instead of pocketing the revenue and resources. Freetown Wins.

To be honest Sierra Leone has been Improved a lot and we needed more improvements.. especially on the roads
street lights and road signs.
Liberia too has much improved compared to the 70s. When I used to visit my uncle and family. They took needed to improve on the road signs lights roads and streets and also bridges.

Liberia and Sierra Leone was once one country but it was divided by United States of America and France. France colonized Sierra Leone and the United States took Liberia 🇱🇷 but long story short we are all the same/one people just split up or should I say separated. #one-love!

The then issue between the two country was all about corruption and greed. Both government were and probably to this day smuggling minerals out of Sierra Leone to enrich themselves. Remember the then president Charles Taylor? He was funding the civil war in Sierra Leone by providing ammunition’s in return for our diamonds and other minerals. So corruption is what holding these two country and African nations from prosperity and better life for its people.

Well, i am a Liberian currently residing in Liberia, specifically Monrovia. Truth be told, they're both beautiful cities that have a civil war history. Aside this video, i have been to Freetown three different times, the recent one was December 12-17-2021. Freetown is fast growing infrastructure wise, Lumley beach is one of the longest and beautiful beaches i have visited. They have a president that have the zest and vision of transforming Freetown into a far more better city than it is now. New Brooksfield Hotel and the Home Suites Boutique Hotel were the two favourites of the places i slept while there. The city is far less expensive when it comes to entertainment, transportation and etc. I won't get tired visiting there. FREETOWN IS BETTER........

Indeed, Freetown is the most beautiful city of the Mano River Union only Conakry trails behind Freetown interms of infrastural development. It's so because of the civil war else Century back non of the two cities Conakry or Monrovia would challenge the diamond riched Sierra leonean capital. I toured with a librarian woman aunty Joe in Freetown whilst critizing the leaders of Sierra Leone of not doing better for their country but aunty was amazed at the beautiful houses and said but you have mighty houses.
