Definitely, although I think Nasus struggles in lane against Irelia early on. If you can get some help from jungler and just play safe, you can ride it out until you get an item and she'll never be able to fight you again. But you can also get dominated pre-6 and have a hard time playing.
Carnarius inspiration, also try out lethal tempo on Nasus mid. You won't get punished for it.
Nasus is so underrated! People really underestimate how strong he actually is and how busted wither is.

As an ADC main, Nasus is one of those champs along with Rammus that terrify me. They build tank, so my team will expect my sustained damage to be the answer, but then I get chain-Wed into oblivion.

i main irelia, and yes, Nasus really does counter Irelia. As the Nasus, just play safe tikl you get lvl 6, and let her engage you. It's a free win trust me

Hey Pekin, towards the end of the video you suggested that building force of nature AFTER deadman's plate will increase movement speed. I was under the impression that effects from items with a similar component did not stack e.g. sheen, zeal, and in this case winged moonpalte. Can you please help us understand?
Items with the same unique passive do not stack. This is why buying multiple winged moonplates (or serrated dirks, zeal, sheen etc.) does not give you more than the 5% ms. However, when the full items are completed, those stats are then given simply as stats and not as a passive anymore (apart from sheen items which all have the same named passive: spellblade). It's quite easy to see if you look at the item descriptions in-game.

@@gregbatchelor8878 No problem! I've played enough troll builds like LamborJhini to have taught me what I can and can't do. That aside early on I definitely had a bright idea and tried to rush 5 dirks and then wondered why I had barely any lethality.
One of my favorite things to accidentally discover with Nasus is that you can stack basically anything you can Q. Tower? Stack. Champs? Stack. Minions? Stack. Jungle creeps? Stack. Epic monsters? STack.
I haven't bothered confirming it, but I _think_ you might even be able to stack stuff like honeyfruit plants and stuff? If anyone knows, I'd love to find out. It's a hilarious concept to me that you can stack towers if you actually last hit the tower.
If you're unaware of stacking towers, btw, you can see it at 17:37 or so where Pekin gets 3 stacks from tower.

My tip for nasus is that you don't need to fucking freeze all game. Look at how Pekin and other high elo nasus play in their vods.
Personally love fighting against Nasus as Irelia, especially in top lane. But anytime nasus gets to scale he’ll eventually become too big to handle

As an irelia main i can confidently say that this matchup is very nasus favoured, irelia wins the first item or two then becomes useless against nasus

sounds like a '4fun' build and not actually something strong/viable.

@@BK557SC unlike gp barrels though, nasus is melee and without tankiness he just dies before he can get in range. The tanky scale build is better in every scenario.
@@nfzeta128 what your neglecting to realize is that r plus shieldbow is actually a ton of tankiness for first item and later for getting in range ghost plus prepetual whither from navori is immensely powerful for gap close. Then the real kicker in an actual fight is that navori procs on the q auto which is then cut in half allowing nasus to totally skip cdr tank items and just go ms/resist tank items.

90 percent of ap champs feel dumpster tier in comparison to bruisers/tanks. It's been that way for almost 2 years now I find it hard to play league anymore

Irelia is fair game cause she's a top laner. But it's really sad that basically every midlaner has given up on figuring out hard match ups with mages. Its straight up like melee characters have broken midlaners spirits. Look at ugg and you'll see like all the top wr's mid are just top laners now.

Wither is actually kinda cracked. 80% attack speed slow and 90% movespeed slow at max with a cooldown shorter than the duration it lasts means that auto-attack champs just kinda crumble. Stick that in botlane where you'll always fight at least 1 auto attack based champ and it can get rough.
Source: Had the displeasure of fighting Nasus/Yuumi botlane that just outsustained all the applied pressure, stacked, and made me useless for the rest of the game with W.

This is a terrible idea. Nasus is a really good match-up for Irelia if you know what you are doing. And Nasus mid makes your jungler's life miserable by never having prio. Honestly if Fiddlesticks didn't save you early on your lane was doomed. After that she was probably tilted, and instantly ulted you on lvl6 when she had no mana and no flash. If you want to counter Irelia, Yasuo, Yone and actually help your team, just play Renekton.
Dont wanna be rude, but i win mostly vs Renekton as Irelia. But that might be because I've played 100s of times vs Renekton and lost a few of them to earlier on xD.

i was nasus otp, i just realized Nasus is to weak even 1000 Stacks, without your R you are useless and they mostly flash away or they group 3 vs 1. And as example pyke support roaming mid all time meanwhile ezreal plays botlane 1 vs 2 ^^

Nasus is such a poorly designed champ especially vs melees. He is a hyper scaler with infinite lane sustain so actually bullying him out of lane is almost impossible, once he builds sheen you cant even really trade vs him. Once he hits 6 its just over because his e prevents you from running away but also prevents you from fighting back and he can q literally ever other aa in ult. He is the ultimate anti fun statchecker.
