Fiddly job Rob but looking good. I'm using code 100 and I've had no trouble running my locos off the code 83 turntable track. Looking forward to seeing you weather the turntable pit so I can copy you!

Robert, It appears that your roundhouse isn't ever secured to your table. Is that correct? Does it ultimately get secured after all is completed? If not, it would seem that it would not keep proper alignment of the tracks. Thanks for an excellent series. phil
Philip, you are right, i have not secured the table down, this is just sitting on top of the ply board. With the cut outs of the pits that i put into the ply board there is no room for the Round house to move, but some modellers do screw the Round House down cheers Robert
Just out of curiosity, how are you glueing metal tracks to styrene during a glue that only blues plastics, by melting it? The Revell blue your using is not CA (Otherwise known as sulerglue) but is normal polystyrene cement.
Yes you are right but it has worked? But weather it holds long term is another thing but so far so good. And i didn't know what glue to use and i didn't want to use super glue. And i looked on you tube but couldn't find anything so i went for the Revell cheers Robert
I’m glad you solved that 1mm problem. I hate when that happens. I wonder why there was a gap? You seem so calm in the video. I would have been swearing and throwing things especially after all that hard work. Looks great Robert. Why file the rails? Easier transitions? If so, I might try that on my ducklift.
Mark i also hate it when things don't go to plan, but the 1mm balsa works great.And the instructions say to bevel the rails for easier transitions, when the rails are slightly not align to keep the loco on the tracks, but i did practice with both rails and there wasn't any difference, so i decided to do this because i was told to do it lol cheers Robert

Ara, the total length off the track to the Turntable is 495mm The track in the Roundhouse is 420mm and outside the Roundhouse to the turntable is 75mm. I only painted the 75mm outside the stall. Also you can't go longer than 75mm from the Roundhouse to the Turntable hope this helps cheers Robert

So far their turntable is working good didn't hit any tracks yet next test run the locomotive
