I just finished making the hearts in 20ga (0.8mm) 14k Yellow GF Sparkle Wire and with all that sparkle they turned out really beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️ The first ones in copper didn't turn out exactly symmetrical but I had a little trick to remedy that problem. I made both earrings at once and used the mirror image to curve the other half of the heart where it needed to be for perfection!

Thank you! The quickest way would be using just a bit of nail polish remover with cotton bud. You can also use a polishing cloth. The markings would come off while polishing, regardless of what method. Hope this helps. :)
Thank you Sandra! No I don’t tumble them. Half hard wire is quite hard to begin with, after working on them they became even harder. So it’s not necessary.

I love your channel! Do you put your earrings in a tumbler when you’re done? I’ve always been told to use a tumbler to harden them until one day I watched a tutorial that said it’s completely useless. It crushed me!
Thanks Lucia! I don’t really use the tumbler for most of my handmade. That’s because Im using half hard wires to begin with, after working on them they got harder and thus tumbling became unnecessary. ( it has to depends on the design.)

Hi Hanna, I do solder but have not tried welding. If I’m soldering these studs, I’d have to alter the process here and there. Let me know the outcome if you ever tried welding these. :)
I was wondering about oxidation (I think that's what leaves a green mark on the skin), does that happen with brass earrings? And which material would you recommend instead if I want something that won't leave a green mark on the skin? Thankyou :)
Hi Hanna. Yes that may happens with oxidised metal, the same go for brass too. If that bothers you, gold-filled and solid gold would be less likely to caused green skin. :) And of course, They comes with a more premium price too.

Hola Liz, normalmente no hago nada con mis joyas de latón, solo les doy brillo antes de usarlas y las guardo en una bolsa hermética después de usarlas. Puede usar "Renaissance Wax" para pulir sus joyas de metal base si desea que su brillo dure más. Pero una vez que el revestimiento se desgastaba, las joyas de latón también se empañaban con el tiempo. Espero que esto ayude :)

Hi so glad you like these studs :) You can just remove markings with a polishing cloth, or very quickly with a little nail polish remover. (As shown in my previous video) Check it out if you like.
Hi Carol, the only metal safe for wearing and non-tarnish would be gold or goldfilled wires. It’s best to buy from your local supplier, or you could try ringsandthings or riogrande. They ship internationally. Hope this helps!
Hi Heather, brass is a strong metal. And, just like any other metal, it'll tarnish over a period of time. (like silver) You can bring back the shine with just a polishing cloth.
Hi, the best is to check if the wires are bare metals,(ie. Bare/raw/non-coated brass, copper) with the supplier. (We won’t know what is on those coated wires, therefore not recommending) Plus you also need to know if you’re allergic to any of those metals or not. Safer wires to wear are silver, 14k goldfilled and gold. Hope this helps :)

Brass is naturally in golden tone, it’ll tarnish over a period of time. You can use a polishing cloth to bring back the shine ✨
