Leave it out! There's no comparison. Ipswich and Norwich are both just small provincial clubs, but Ipswich have great history. They've won trophies. Big trophies. The League Title, The FA Cup, and best of all the UEFA Cup. People in every corner of the world remember and talk about the great Ipswich teams. Not so with Norwich. Times change, and Norwich may have done relatively well over the last decade, but hey.. come on... it's like comparing Nottingham Forest, and all that they achieved, with Notts County, if they'd had a few decent results in recent derby games.
Well said - exactly. Ipswich competed at the very top of European football for ten years, winning actual trophies. Absolutely no comparison with Norwich being in the premiership but not winning anything.
A small provincial club is Swindon or Southend, not Ipswich who got 30,000 in league one and have attracted one of the best young managers outside the premier league and billionaire US investors. Norwich similarly have been in the premier league more recently and get 26,000 crowds, and whilst they haven't won much they are hardly a small provincial club.
@@johnsmith-es7zk It's all relative really, who cares, it's just a bit of a lark. Yes, on the shirt - but if that was not enough, people have to post comments to youtube to repeat it. Great.
Ipswich: 1 League championship 1 FA cup 1 European trophy 2 England managers 10 successive seasons in European football and top six in England Norwich 2 milk cups “Participated” in Uefa cup once, losing home and away in third round
What have the budgies and a three pin plug got in common? They're both useless in europe! Norwich have played SIX games in total in europe, Ipswich played that many AT HOME in our UEFA Cup winning run in 1981. Count the trophies, the managers, the ground size, the respect and love we have compared to Norwich. Yes they beat Bayern Munich away in 1993 (a bloody good scalp may I add! ) but we also beat St Etienne and Cologne in 1981. St Etienne we smashed 4-1 in their ground and were applauded off the pitch. Yes I know Ipswich have been crap the last few years and Norwich have been in the premier league a few times, yeh well done! But we are rising, and December 16th hostilites commence again, and I cannot wait. We owe you one, big style.................(what's the betting it ends nil nil and our fourteen year wait goes on?)
Well done for finding some colour footage of Ipswich beating Norwich!

I read the comments and for me this is an event in football. Especially as it hasn't been played in years. Colourful game in the calendar

Major owners are marked by a start on the shirt. I see no stars on the yellow shirts.
