    I run 51 seconds as a senior in high school i ran 48 1 time but I need to get under 50 and stay under 50

      Keep working hard and smart and it will come. Consistency will have you dipping under 50 and staying there. I was the most consistent under 50 when I was the most consistent in practice. Good Luck ! and Thx for watching.

    recovery time in between? I usually walk the equal distance of what I just ran, or a touch more if I'm only going 90%.Never mind, I finally heard you say 3 minutes in between. so that would be like walking around the track from the finish back to the start. So maybe I'm overdoing it with 10x 150m repeats with 250m walk.

      It depends on you event, but hill sprints (30-50m) and interval runs (like in the video) are a good start to fall season workouts.

    Do you have any advice in general how much I should train speed, endurance, and speed endurance per week in regards to the 400m? (for offseason)

    • @TRACKHEADZTV
      @TRACKHEADZTV  Před 3 lety +5

      Off Season, depends on age, but honestly the best thing to do is to have a balance between developing speed, developing you lactic system, and getting strong (core and getting functionally strong). Identify you strengths and weaknesses and work on both. It may be helpful to run summer track too. Hope that helps. Good Luck !!

    How many days a week do you train this? Trying to get under 1min 50 seconds but gas bad at 300m

    • @TRACKHEADZTV
      @TRACKHEADZTV  Před 3 lety +3

      You can train speed endurance at the most once a week. I would suggest getting faster in your 200m to feel more comfortable at race pace @300m and also doing some over distance to finish strong. Good luck 👍🏿 and thanks for watching 🤘🏿

    What's your 400 time? I'm at like 52 rn as I sophomore and I wanna go sub 50 next year

    • @TRACKHEADZTV
      @TRACKHEADZTV  Před 3 lety +4

      My PR is 49.4. As a sophomore you’re still young. Definitely continue to improve your speed and your lactate system. That will get you into the sub 50s next year 🤘🏿 Good Luck !
