      You're right, but that's why ICE Cube started a league like this, so old heads like myself can get to watch guys like Chris Jackson/Rauf again in a physical half court style, a contrast to NBA now, and help a couple guys possibly get a call up. Next year it will be even bigger. Think of some guys you know that can still light it up but maybe not NBA. Shooters like Eddie House, older cats like Tony Delk, and maybe Antawn Jamison. Rex Chapman talked of a team with Delk, Mahammad, Mashburn, and Antoine Walker. BigBaby Davis talked of Celtics team with Nate Robinson and Perkins.

      shizo shizo/Bold and accurate statement. I just had this discussion with my dad, I grew up watching Rauf w/him, and aside from his defensive limitations, Rauf could compete in limited minutes, especially after timeouts late in games and/or when team is in lead. He is the best FT shooter in NBA history, .905, he's just under the required attempts, and his release is so quick that he can, not only, get looks off picks, but is efficient in the half court pick and roll.

    The man is obviously still a top-level player. He can easily be a professional basketball player again with 50 years of age. Such a shot and a sense of play still has an explosion like when he was 25 years old, every honor is what else and he just keeps on .. .

    when they took him out at the end of the first half, it all went downhill. They allowed Trilogy to get back in the game after being down 8. Im sure Payton regrets that decision to take Mahmoud out.

      Rauf had never averaged 40% 3P% in a season. His career 3P% is 35%.
      Curry on the other hand has never averaged UNDER 40% in a season with a career 3P % of 44%. Not to mention curry's shots are much farther behind the arc and off the dribble. Curry would absolutely DESTROY Rauf in any shooting contest. Curry is the shooting GOAT

    Abdul-Rauf was streaky, but when he was on, it was like everything stood still and the hoop would get up and just walk over to where the ball was coming down.

    If reshard lewis would have went harder they would have won all factz he was bumping up on defense while the rest of the team was hustling like crazy on defense while he just would stand there wtf he caused them that chapionship all facts og shot them back in the game with four 3 pointers

      YEAH MAN! i hate players like that- they give the least effort on the team but have the loudest mouth. look how he's talking to mahmoud after he "fouls" the 3 point shot at the end (which wasn't a foul at all) SMH!!

    • @RoninWaffle
      @RoninWaffle Před 6 lety

      That last shot was actually a foul, it's the "Karl Malone" move where a defender sticks there hand in and if you go up immediately the Defender is caught.

    • @auburnboi09
      @auburnboi09 Před 6 lety
