I am absolutely certain that the only 1500 HP power unit on this vessel is a backup generator. Pretty sure that he meant 15,000 HP per primary propulsion engine

Well as a fisherman, I use anchors on a regular, and e man handle them but when your anchors are bigger then my boat I guess you need a beast of a vessel like that.

i know nothing about ships, and esp such specality ships but, when this guy so confidently says that ship has 1500 HP, in that moment i can tell that he knows nothing of which he speaks.

Laney Chouest is a bucket of junk, it’s an archaic design and lacks any of the modern technology. You want to see a real AHTS check out Island Victory

I think there may be more spoken errors in horse power ratings.
For example the narrator says 2080 horse power and the screen text shows 20.800 Hp. ( I think the Europeans use a decimal point instead of a comma)
1500 Hp propelling a ship of that size is just not logical. It probably takes 1500 Hp to provide other services than propulsion.
You watch and see how many of these units get converted for offshore wind farm use in the next ten years. The ICE age is over....

@Beyond Fact - did you fact check ANY of this video? Its a cluster f*** of mistakes, from 1500hp Vikings (its over 10x this), to differences between what you state verbally compared to whats on screen (both of which are also, coincidentally, wildly inaccurate!).. You guys need to do a LOT better
