  • This video describes how to string a one piece on a tennis racquet. Be careful when stringing for new tennis frames manufacturers can be nitpicky and will sometimes try to deny warranties due to certain stringing methods.
    I am a Master Racquet Technician Certified through the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA). I love stringing and own a lot of tennis products and want to share that passion.

    What you say about starting crosses from the top makes sense, but do you do that even if the manufacturer specifies a pattern that starts crosses at the bottom? Wouldn't that also be a warranty issues?

    Could you describe in a bit more detail how you start things off on the mains? Thanks!

      I’m imagining that your are referring to how I start the mains when pulling tension. You can start it many different ways but in this particular video I am using the Yusuki Method which uses my starting clamp and fixed clamp to hold counter weight during my first fully tensioned pull on the opposite side. Perhaps I should do a video on different ways to start the mains when tensioning; my apologies if it for any reason made the video hard to follow.
      Thanks for watching!

    Why in world would you NOT tie off on the MAINS?? Most rackets I string, are even labeled where to tie off and its always on mains. I rarely do 1 piece but when I do, I have tied on the mains for 30 years

    No need to change the pounds in cross strings ???? Keep the same or change

    • @racquetology
      @racquetology  Před 2 lety +1

      There is no need to change any of the tension settings from mains to crosses.

    Can you show us to replace grommets and match rackets?

    • @racquetology
      @racquetology  Před 3 lety

      Yes I can make a video about replacing grommets. Matching racquets is a little bit more involved so give me some time to make sure I fit all the info into a video for it.

    Why one piece? what's the advantage?

    • @racquetology
      @racquetology  Před 3 lety +2

      It’s more of a preference for some players. As a stringer the only plus is less string length would have to be measured for the frame.
