    Why don't you just use the rule for the first and last cross if odd number of crosses same even number of crosses opposite.

    On a 16x19 pattern the bottom cross HAS to be weaved the same as the top cross so it does matter how you start it

    Thanx for the Video, but that is much easier after the short site main string is complete finished, leave out the last main string on the long site, then you're on top. From there, pull in the second cross string at the head (Only at 19/16 Racket). string all cross strings from head to heart, you come out on the side where the last main string is missing. Pull this up and then make the missing top cross string. Done.✌

    At the 19min mark, Looks like u didn’t add tension to the first knot u did. Should you have??

    Even when odd; odd when even - repeat x1000.
    Maybe best to check the racket spec. before you start?

    You don’t have to count, for odd number of crosses you match the weave of top and bottom. Even you do them opposite. Ezpz

    looks like... why make things easy, when we can make them complicated :-) i am not sure that this will help to play better!

    Are there some racquets that can't be strung with Around the World? How to know?

    beginner here, At 9:29 why is it obvious you can't remove that clamp at the head of the racket?, are you not already pulling tension on the string (via pulling the first cross?). Why can't you remove that clamp and move it to the other side so that you can immediately tie a knot? (instead of using a starting clamp?)

    Helps to keep hold of the end of the string, much less effort

    As others have said for anyone just watching this...an even # of crosses 16,18,20, the very top and very bottom crosses will be the same as each other pattern wise. An Odd # of crosses 17,19,21, the very top and bottom strings will be the opposite of each other.... Always

      @imateapot51 Pƙed 4 měsĂci

      I think you have that reversed. Say a racquet has only 3 crosses. Cross 1 starts over, cross 2 starts under, cross 3 starts over (just like 1).

    Man you must be new in ATW stringing. Your top and last cross explanation sucks and confusing. Folks it’s simple. If total crosses are odd like 19, the top and bottom crosses are the same weaved, if total crosses are even like 20, then the top and bottom crosses alternate weaved. No need to count like he did. 13:08 and 22:08

    Why do this over a simple two piece string job?

    • @otogigamer
      @otogigamer Pƙed 2 lety +1

      Some people want 1 piece stringing cause using 2 piece tends to loose tension faster. If I can do this method I do this for the moron customers that like to pull on the end strings and complain that it's not tight.

    • @a2casius
      @a2casius Pƙed 2 lety +2

      @@otogigamer I did an experiment doing one piece vs two piece stringing on my Yonex Ezone DR 100, adding only an extra 4lbs to tie-off string when doing a two piece. I did this experiment 3 times and each time, using Racquettune to measure the variances, my two piece string job had better tension maintenance than my one piece. So since then, I stopped doing one piece for myself or anyone who asks for it. Lastly, for morons, add 20% tension to tie-off strings, just like Richard Parnell does. I'm sure he does it for the same reason.

      @@otogigamer My strings don't normally last that long. I measured the tension losses over a 1 week period, using Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.25 @45lbs.
