QUESTION FOR THE NEXT POD.
I think some tricks are kept being called wrong, I'd love to hear your take on it maybe in the next pod. Here it is:
Although I also think that Brady's run was the best, I think the tricks are just called wrong. On the first jump he had a flat 360 triple tailwhip. That definitely wasn't a backflip, as his body was never upside down, but almost perfectly parallel with the ground. For backflip you need to be perpendicular with the ground, or at least close to it.
The other thing is the cash roll. Cash roll supposed to be a 360 front flip. Again, that wasn't a front flip, but a nosedive 720, he was never upside down. If you stop the video at the steepest frame, his bike is perpendicular with the ground, which makes it a nosedive 360. It would be a flip, it the bike was ever upside down, parallel with the ground which it wasn't.
Again, i'm not taking away anything, breathtaking run, just the tricks are not what the were called of. Cash rolls are especially getting mixed up all the time in every competition with nosedive 720's.
Colin is getting better and better at talking and being on camera. The man is a G. Love to see him getting the recognition he deserves

BMX was cool since i was a little kid and i'm 32 now, i never was a pro rider or a proper rider but always loved it, 4 years back i picked it up again & whether i was doing tricks or not, i was fcking enjoying it, it's the best feeling to ride BMX on a sunny day with some hills around you, you just have a blast.
Skateboarding get all the credits but BMX is just as cool & i think you see more kids loving BMX now than 10/15yrs ago. Much love & respect to the BMX community
I'm with ya. It feels nice to keep up with the younger riders and skaters. I love to ride. Just picked it up again. Love progressing with tricks. It's cool to get people watching me do cool little tricks. Fun beefing it even when it really hurts 😆. People have commented on how bmx looks so hard. It is like anything but very rewarding.

Logan should have won. They always go for the French guy though. That’s my opinion. Dude is no doubt incredible but Logan’s run was better and smoother and Jean Jean also cases the box which is kind of stupid but when we are talking difference in points and runs especially first and second, that matters.

As you are open for ideas, here are some Genuine ideas to improve the pod :
- rewatching of iconic videos with rider or director from the piece like a roadfools1 / nowhere fast / criminal mischief / deadline etc etc
- international scene report : invite some invested crew to present the best of their national scene ex : motobunka x japan, the ukrainian street brothers talking about their situations, boyd talking about australia, etc
I really believe nobody would be mad of an unclicked special serie of guest not on set but with a quality set up from the guest it would allow to reach more « unmissable » legends or internationals. The ricany episod showed it doesnt matter much.
- iconic brand story could be interesting with the TM or brand creator working with you to prepare the needed archives : castillo x volume/demo / robbo x fit>cult / moliterno x standard / kink 30 years could be a good occasion too etc
- talking of 30 : itw of dig would be awesome > will smyth +/or dolecki…
- it needs some preparation/work but a spot story would work too with legend spot like woodward east / el toro / posh trails / sheep hills /
- the event story of swampfest was fun : another one with the simpel session / battleof hastings / bmx street station (france) / the « worlds » cologne…
- a « what have you become ? » short format serie with a host (rooftop?) showing us what have become the legends we loved in our midschool years : joey garcia, Shaun butler, tj lavin, garret burns, ruben, edwin, could be a quick insta watch with personnal update shared offline by the rider or a quick 15’ call.
On a more overall note we can all agree that this pod can become the meeting point of all the riders, i know all the financial, personnel and technical limitation that can slow down the progression but you guys are showing a lot of potential and clever brands show their interest…because it is the present of media and it can be super rad. A bit more journalistic approach and preparation to look less improvised and avoid the dead silence, having a director behind the scene to focus on the footage while the guest and the host speak would help i think. Having more distinguished serie or special style of content, with shorter lenght or different approach could be nice…
Anyway this is a ton of work so all i can wish for you guys is to get more brands realising this is the place to be so you can welcome more helper on screen or behind.

I’m torn on the Triple Crown being open invite. I get that it has become a qualifier for some of the biggest events. Riders have break through performances all the time. My problem is this is on a huge stage. For a lot of the people it is the introduction of bmx . Because it’s at a Supercross race there is a lot of people that wouldn’t otherwise see it. If there are a bunch of Ams flailing around and not doing much it makes bmx not look so good to non hard core people. I just think it should be pro only because of the stage it’s on. It’s our opportunity to make BMX shine.
Qualifying takes place on Friday and is closed to the public. Supercross fans see the top 16 riders.

Allowing skateboard in Swampfest hurts BMX more than freestyle in the olympics. Loads of youtube- content covering Swampfest and there is little to no bikeriding visible. Ghetto jam and Bone Deth did it right. Two ir three times then on to something new.

If i could change one thing in the bmx world it would be this . All commentators , spectators , and participators would replace the word tricks utilizing the word maneuvers .
Doing maneuvers sounds much more respectable than doing tricks .

Im with Trey here. My 9 year old nephew doesn't even watch the X-Games. I took him under my wing with his Kink 18". But his first skatepark was FDR, his first video premiere was Fast And Loose, then he saw AMPM 4 and got 4 pegs and rides storm doors with me, its awesome. But when I tried to show him the Nitro Circus stuff he wasn't even impressed. He even pointed out, "their like jocks". So thankfully I never have to find an air bag for him to ride as he'd rather ride an empty pool. He also rode his first pool at the Gnar BQ in NJ this October it was awesome watching him shred. But yeah Olympics is wack imo sorry. Boring, robotic gymnastics with box jumps and mostly faceless/riders I know zero about and don't care to know about.
Spin and flip riding is boring even tho it is amazing. I'd pay attention to the one guy doing anything different these days.
you know what become the black sheep or has been the black sheep since the 90s is bmx in general, its degusting to see how bmxer catalogues platforms for recognition. street is black sheep, trails is black sheep the two platforms that created park. so go talk bs to someone that really care about park as its nature of street and trails in one. so sad to see how bmxer wanna state a word on something that not the core of the industry. bmx in the early 2000s was friendship, brother hood and freedom of expression now its wanna be celebs and high status because sponsor pay big dollars.
if only you knew there better rider than murray in south africa just doesnt have friends that in the filming industry why you only see his edit because its locally exclusive vibes in cpt. and with al due with respect murray is very good street where as south african rider are all rounder slayers undercover because we dont like media shit if you dont know buddy chellan please dont mention south africa if dont know who made the scene in south afrca. its offensive in so many ways
No hate to Nick Bruce, but maybe ride something other than park. There are plenty of core riders that ride park, dirt, or bowls. I just can’t agree with him. Kevin Peraza, Daniel Sandoval, Mike Varga. That’s just a few. And honestly I feel that his comment disrespects a lot of legendary riders. Not hating just an opinion.
