Who puts together an event like this but doesn't get atleast 1 person that's able to do it?? ....you'd think if someone builds a 1/4 pipe, runway and a rail and organizes this big event that they'd for sure have multiple pros(or people) come out to do some cool shit... But NOPE... They did all that for no reason.... You couldn't find just 1 person to grind the whole thing?..... Should've been multiple people and multiple tricks but no you just brought people that were never gonna do anything worth watching

To make the point, we could compare the visual media portion of BMX (the video parts) to art in painting or film to make sense of why it matters. It’s easy to appreciate the skill put into hyperrealistic paintings but there is also skill in the deliberation and intention of those people doing the things. Creativity is part of what distinguishes BMX and skating from traditional sports. We’re not just jocks on bikes but also artists when we are performing for an audience through video parts etc. If it was just about skill, we should be able to say that it doesn’t matter how you edit your videos, what clothes you wear, what your bike looks like or rides like, or what spot your riding because as long as you muscle through very scary and difficult moves which progress the sport in a very obvious way, then we’ve done our job. But we can’t honestly say this. To the point of being a “pro”, this is awarded to literally anyone who can sell product. Albeit, most of the time this means there is a level of skill because that’s what people want to watch. But this can also happen, and has happened, for people who are simply likeable and popular, and can sell products, (Adam LZ or Austin Augie). Both AMAZING bike riders, but their being popular content creators had an influence in their being pro with signature products.

The joy of being given rubber landings to practice tricks while literally everyone else has suffered concrete crashes. No praises
