If you've ever worked in a position like this you'd know that pranks like this are super common and it's policy/quickest to just give the scripted answer until they go away. it is real, but it is not serious. The woman knows she is playing a prank. The man knows the woman is playing a prank. But the man is not allowed to play along, and the man is not allowed to respond to the awful ideas she is saying (even though she is not serious). He is paid to answer questions, and if he tried to go beyond his job description by playing her game, he could have created an even worse recording for her to post on the internet.
If you listen carefully, he is precisely answering her questions. He is not indicating to her that the admissions request would be considered seriously, only that the admissions request would be received.
I do not like Harvard, and it has a lot to improve. But this recording is not a serious threat.

I don't belive that this is a real call. Maybe it was a bad connection and he couldn't hear what she was saying. Or maybe she edited in the parts about murder afterwards. There is no way he would answer ' all activities help' after she spoke about killing people.. Harvard is crazy but not that crazy.

As soon as she described the actions, from her perspective, as slaughter it was obvious it was a prank call. 10/10 for the call handler. A mother of a Hamas Jihadist would not have called mass murder of Jewish civilians slaughter. Probably the fifth prank call of the day.
It sounds like he knew it was a bad call, was being diplomatic to keep the peace, and probably was recording the call. That much being said, all of the Ivy League schools who tolerate Hamas terrorism have lost their lustre. Love this guy's long pauses and flat affect voice. 🙃

I studied at some of the best universities in Europe and it did feel like being oppressed with heavy far left’s agenda, but this is on another level. Also selection was poor and did privilege those classified as oppressed in their dichotomous view of the world.

Indeed, the guy comes across as neutral. True, he does not have a specific procedure for dealing with terrorist callers, but that is not his fault.
Now, I invite the reader to google "terrorist who earned phd in israeli prison". In fact convicted murderers in Israeli prisons are allowed to take classes and graduate from Israeli universities, which obviously accept them. One famous terrorist who did this was Samir Kuntar, who infiltrated Israel from Lebanon, abducted a mother, father, and their 4 year old daughter, and then murdered each one by one. While in Israeli prison he was accepted in and took courses from the Open University of Israel, and graduated with a BS. Multiple other terrorists there were enrolled in the same program, and plenty of others earned not just BSs but Phds.
So before Jews and Israelis criticize Harvard they should fix their own universities in Israel. Honestly as bad as Harvard is I do not think they would have admitted Samir Kuntar.
