Today I want to show you my favorite desktop synthesizer: the Novation Peak. I was looking for a compact but full featured instrument to create amazing pads and arpeggios, and I am in love with what I found. I will do an overview creating a big bass sound, then will play some patches.
I will create some additional content on my Patreon, where you will be able to download my preset.
In the video I'm pairing the Peak with the Oto Boum, what i think is the best companion to this synth.
If you are interested in a Summit, you might find this video interesting , just double the power :D

The Oscillators are digitally generated at 24MHz to completely remove any possibility of aliasing but the filters are analog so it’s a hybrid synth that sounds amazing!

Hey man :-) How heavily is the BOUM doing its thing here, just compression or also saturating? I can hear a beautiful saturation which I thought was only possible with an Overstayer Modular Channel (or other expensive unit). But of course the PEAK has analog distortion too so maybe that is what I am hearing? Thank you!

The Peak sounds really lovely - I agree with the many people who have said the filter and the reverb in particular are excellent. The only thing I found a slight disappointment was the lack of MPE support (I have a Linnstrument).
I don't think there's much reason to compare the Peak and the Hydrasynth really, as they represent different philosophies and different workflows. I think they're both extremely well designed.

No, it’s a digital synth, not analog. They market it as “better” than digital claiming the (Oxford) chips are different. But they’re still digital. I haven’t tested it so I don’t know how well it emulates analog sound. For the price ($1,400) I can just buy a real analog synth though, and use a computer for digital stuff. But the interface is really nice. We need more analog synths with this kind of interface. Like Hydrasynth too, which got an even better interface. But Hydrasynth I’ve tried and wasn’t impressed with sound quality at all. This one might be better?
