Can I also use it with brush painting ?
Can this putty be used with enamel paints? I use paint leveling thinner with my colors,so i am worried it would melt the putty.
it can stain paint in some instanes
Won't be using again. It melted in on my model and left an oily residue on the underlying paint and on my hands.

Cuanto tarda en quedarse "fofete" tras aplicarlo? Hay que darse prisa para aerografiar? Ya hace muchos años que probé con el silly putty y se ablandaba tan rápido que no me daba tiempo a cargar el aerógrafo...
Hay que tener cuidado, porque le afecta la gravedad. Es decir, que si lo aplicas (por ejemplo) en los 5 lados visibles de un carro ya en color base (amarillo en el ejemplo del video), y pintas de otro color, (el verde del video) debes retirarlo nada mas pintar ese segundo color ya que, de no hacerlo, el masking putty empezará a "caerse", arrastrando parte de ese segundo color y arruinando todo el trabajo previo. Es algo que no sabía al utilizarlo, me tocó sufrirlo en vivo y en este video no lo advierten claramente: Hay que retirarlo nada mas aplicar la pintura del segundo color, no esperando a que se seque. No se puede dejar puesto para aplicar luego un tercer color porque el segundo ya estará machacado.
@@NickRivers-uk8jz Exactamente igual que el silly putty original. Requiere planificar cuidadosamente la secuencia de pinturas sobre todo si quiere aplicar más de dos colores superpuestos. Gracias por la info.
I wonder if this could be used for cockpit canopies
it can, but I find it difficult to make it work with panel lines within the canopy. Masking fluid is easier.

I'm doing my first serious aircraft-Airfix 1/72 Zero. The canopy scares me the most. Tried Tamiya masking tape. Gave up. Got a bottle of Mr Hobby masking fluid on the way. Glad you find that masking liquid easier.

@@vasilileung2204 Use a combination of masking fluid and masking tape its super easy! Nothing to be afraid of.
I have some issues with the putty melting into small recesses/gaps in the model. Rather a tedious task to get them out
It seems to react to some specific material[s], I had a sticky reaction to a powder residue used on one of my resin miniatures I forgot to wash before hand with water and soap.
Lesson learned.
Silly putty works just as good and a lot cheaper!
Sadly, silly putty is just available in some regions, not everyone lives in the US.
Ammo is much easier to find for europeans

En mi caso lo utilicé para pintar un F-105 camo tipo SEA, pero al retirarlo, daño la pintura. Ni hablar que el masking, se ablandó y derritió como cera. En mi caso no lo recomiendo. Prefiero el patafix de uhu.
Had the same issue. It lifted the edges of the freshly dried paint. Left it overnight on another model and it “melted” and had to use scalpel blade to remove it. I prefer White Tack.
No me gusta mucho que lo narran en inglés y la demostración la hace un mexicano, debería ser narrado por el autor
El inglés es para llegar a más audiencia. De todas formas, tienes claro que Carlos Gómez Urban colabora con Mig, ¿no?
@@K3ns4i lo de la colaboración se sobrentiende, nadie está debatiendo ese tema, y no creo que alguien tenga duda de eso, sólo que… yo creó que pueden llegar a la misma audiencia o quizás habría más empatía si se narra en el idioma original y cada colaborador lo hace de viva voz, es una opinión personal, no es tampoco para que te desgarres la ropa.
@@alontiarquitectos5389 Entiendo perfectamente lo que dices, ciertamente es más "cercano" que cada quién contribuya en su idioma nativo haría que no se sienta "genérico", por llamarle de alguna forma, pero la audiencia de ammo en la mayoría de continentes tiene como idioma universal el inglés. Para nada me desgarro la ropa, mi opinión es también personal como alguien que no es monolingüe.
