- Anyone that watched my first video on the attempt of flying my Dakota will have seen it didn’t quite go to plan! But lessons learnt… all fixed, improvements made and now time to try again 😎 As you will see in the video… much better this time!
Ziroli Dakota, reduced from 1/8 scale to 1/9 scale. 10foot wingspan. Two DLE20cc petrol engines. Futaba radio.

Awesome landing for what is actually the first time. Brilliantly done.

Now you need to launch out little paratroopers.
That may take some work 😂
We have one at our club that's been flying nearly 30 years. Nice job!

Greetings from Mexico.
Hi from the UK! Thanks for watching 😊
Not bad! 😁
Tough crowd mate! 😂
Flies and sounds great. Good choice not going electric.
Thanks! 🙌🏻 Was always going to be petrol for me 😉
Having the CG correct makes all the difference in the world, doesn’t it?
Yes, very nice scale like take off and landing...much better than the 1st attempt. Was it mainly a CG issue?
Thank you, yes much better haha. It was a combination of a few issues.. i did add some more noseweight, but i think it would have flown without it. I think it was also the fact it took off far too soon, should of held down in to keep it on the ground, but it bumped into the air early first time and didn’t have enough speed, so was stalling
Does it have retracts?
Uhhh, the tail *didnt* lift during the taxi test LOL .
Spectacular! How did you get the engine speeds balanced?
Thank you 🙌🏻 They were both brand new engines so fairly matched from the start. Then tweaking the needles and running them in to get them matched best as could. Any final adjustments done with throttle trim and curves in tx settings
Where did you end moving the CG to? Also, mind sharing your control throws?
Thanks
what wasthe final weight?
I can’t remember at the moment, but around 16kg
