What specifically is really interesting about that?
When I first learned that M. Night's daughter was connected to this movie, and the name of the author the book this movie was adapted from, I thought A.M. Shine was his daughter's pen name.

This movie reminds me of the tv series "From" which is now in its second season. Strange that it wasn't mentioned.
"From" is underrated, many don't know it exists.

I saw a 2024 horror movie trailer compilation and all these movies were in it. The watchers is by far the most intriguing.

The Village is one of the most underrated horrors ever.

The Village was garbage. It was the plot of Teenage Caveman only… really boring.
It’s a slow-burn. It wasn’t meant to be exciting or action packed. It’s meant to be unsettling. Some of the best horrors of all time are slow-burns. The Witch was a slow burn and one of the best horror films in the last decade.

This looks like a film version of the tv show “from”… the book was published March 2022 and the series predates the book… premiered 2022 and filmed 2021

I think she looks how the director intended her to look. If she looked like a supermodel in this film, it just would not fit. But I am sure if Dakota did a glow-up, she would be just as beautiful as you think Elle is.

I don’t remember much of the book but weren’t the Watchers some kind of fae folk? I do remember that Madeline was one of them tho (I thought the twist was obvious though and they definitely gave it away in the trailers)
