Worst punishment in a movie for me hands down was in Saw 3 where the black guy was strapped to a machine slowly twisting his limbs one by one until finally his neck was twisted 180 degrees til he died.
The rock trap...
@@XxLiam26xX the Chris Rock trap
SAME
Yes! That one, and in Saw 3D when the guy’s wife was strapped in the Brazen Bull. She was such an innocent and nice character and was burned alive simply because her husband was a liar. Was completely screwed up.
The leg exploding part messed me up
This actually makes me think of Saw since the whole plot of the movie was about people being punished. Then it made me think Saw actually had some quite unfair punishments at times, where people who were actually innocent got punished. It would be fun to see a video covering some unfair punishments like that in horror films.
I thought about this, too
@@HitStartYT It really is quite interesting. Would love to see a video covering explanations for some unfair ones, like mental illness or a personal vendetta.
The worst one was in 3D. The wife that got slowly roasted to death. She never know about the lies of her husband and he lied to her, yet gets one of the worst fates because of it. I thought that was bs.
@@TheJayden3977 Oh, wow, that was EXACTLY the main one I had in mind when I wrote the comment! I felt so bad for the poor woman! She had a horrible death for no reason.
I couldn't stand the Saw movies because of this.
I think the worst is being skinned alive in Martyrs
I came here to say it, that movie's disturbing as fuck
i am never rewatching martyrs
The original
@@blackirish6868 definitely the original
I think being sent to hell in Hellraiser would be the worst punishment. Hellraiser isn't as graphic as Martyrs and leaves most of the things to your imagination but basically if the Cenobites take you to their dimension - you suffer unimaginable pain for eternity. So that's basically like hell.
Am I the only one that is terrified of getting stabbed or shot in the eyes?
The scenes of knives being close to your face in the beginning of Resident Evil 7 personally terrify me. I actually get like a gut reaction of hell no. So yeah, you're not alone.
@@Echs_D33 yeah
I can even use medication for my eyes properly due to them "locking".
I hate everything that has to do with eyes or fingernails aiaiaiaiaiseeewebjama
Eyes is the worst
How is nobody gonna talk about the human centipede? That’s undoubtedly the worst punishment to ever be done to anyone. Death would be taken with open arms rather than having that fate
free food
that's probably because it went over the top and crossed the boarder of "mentioning" xD like "a serbian movie" (well ok, there you really can't keep watching, psychologically too fucked up) or such stuff, gone too far
too gross
How about a human millipede, so they don’t waste food
Being the girl at the very end of the centipede in Human Centipede 2 is the worst fate for sure
I mean she literally got a dick wrapped in barb wire stuck inside her
The Oculus one sends shivers down my spine. Ouch.
I’ve had something like that happen to me
@@Ry-pk1mb what
@@Ry-pk1mb dude wtf explain rn
@@bridiemargison7068 It's a little different, but my entire fingernail got ripped off one day, hurt like absolute hell
@@Ry-pk1mb me too but with a toe nail
Final destination really did make some people scared of situations. Like I know people who won’t get in a tanning bed because of those films.
thats good
tanning beds cause skin cancer
final destination: here to remove 40% of your everyday life
I’m scared to fly bc of the first one 😭
That's a good thing! They cause cancer!
I don't drive behind any trucks carryin' anything on a flatbed.
I think Misery has one of the worst punishments. The hobbling scene is horrible and even worse in the amazing book. The bullies in Let the right one in is also pretty gnarly.
While it's pretty terrible in the movie, at least in that Paul's torment only went on for weeks, but in the book, it went on for months. The movie cuts out the urine and soap water drinking and the "special candle".
IT’S WORSE IN THE BOOK?? How???
@@WiggyWamWam It's so much worse in the book. You should give it a read.
Stephen King is a master in this. I read „The Game“ many years ago, long before the movie came out and the scene were she rips the skin of her hand made me cringe so much, I literally could feel the pain in my own hand while reading the description!
In the book she chops off his leg and uses a blowtorch to cauterize the leg. King also describes the smell of Paul's burning skin. That was far more gruesome than what they showed in the movie@WiggyWamWam
This needs a 2nd part, there are some under rated films that need to be included
Any examples? Trying to find some new movies to watch :D
2nd part is definitely needed.
@@larajanesen8795 Mirrors.
@@TheZybix normally I cant stand ghost or evil spirit movies, but i respect you for answering me and will give it a try, thank you!
@@larajanesen8795 You're very welcome. Please do tell me how you enjoy the movie.
1:39 scares me so much because to have to go through that while being strapped down so you cant move is really scary
I'm surprised it's not #1 tbh. That's probably the most realistic feeling scenario in any horror movie. God help anyone who has to go to the dentist for literally any reason within a month of watching that particular scene.
I was looking exactly for this comment! Other deaths in movies are like "ok sure, terrible" but this one... this one gave me such a bad feeling. I could watch a scene of limbs being taken out of someone's body, but I had to look away for the teeth scene hahahah
I don’t why, but anything that has to do with evil doctors that torture or dentists that torture scare me.
Olivias death in Final destination was not the scariest or gruesome I had ever seen, but because she was so human- so afraid, where all her bitchiness in the storyline that had created her suddenly dissipated as she lay there trapped and helpless- her death broke my heart, and it is one that gives me so much sadness and anguish
Yeah especially how she holds the bear, I felt so sad for her.
One thing I instantly thought of was in nightmare on elm street 3 one kids muscles and ligaments were ripped out and used as puppet strings
And then Freddy leads him to a ledge of the building where he cuts them and sends him to his death
Worst punishment I've seen is the bathtub scythe scene in Hostel 2. That sh*t was brutal af.
That one was odd. I think Lorna should have listened and had a SLIVER of common sense. Why would anyone with half a brain cell go out with some guy they hasn’t even known for twenty minutes?????
thats not how the word shit is spelled.
@@anderstermansen130 - Well sh*t, I'm glad I had you here to tell me that sh*t so I could know how to spell sh*t properly.
@@anderstermansen130 that’s not that how the word that’s is spelt

Anyone who has accidently taken off the entire small toe nail when clipping knows just how much that shit hurts and bleeds and that's tiny. I can't imagine how much taking off a bigger nail does.
Yup
Just happened to me a month ago
I don't think I will ever forget the ending of Salo, or the 120 Day of Sodom, where they just all get brutally punished. Shit had things like being burned, scalping, and tongue/eye cutting, all in the span of like, 1 minute. Strange movie for sure.
How the fuck were you able to watch that film just reading the wikipedia entry of te plot i felt sick
@@lolurmadinnit7425 I had to skip through a lot of it! Some of it was just way way too much for me, but I felt that I would have watched it for nothing if I didn't watch the ending. Wish I could forget that movie honestly.

I know we have seen some seriously bad torture in horror films, as you show, but Alex's torture from Clockwork Orange is still one to remember.
Bodily torture is one thing, you survive if you survive to heal it out, maybe with a hero ribbon. Alex? Gets used for government nastiness that warps his mind.
I work in the horror film industry, and the gore doesn't bother me as much as Alex being an experiment to profit from.
Satanic rituals, misled youth, whatever. Bodily harm is survivable, yet when your mind is hurt worse than your body scares me the most.
Meh I’ll take psychological reconditioning over a drill to the tooth any day. Either way mind is going to be fucked.
@@marqet14 Always good to meet another..
I'm pretty sure the eye doctor wouldn't leave you alone while you're having lasik eye surgery.
Gerald definitely was built lol
Yea
I’m not one to cringe or wince but the drill to the teeth got me 😭
What about in Terrifier when the girl is hung upside down, then sawed in half? Beats most of these.
And in front of the other girl too. Arts doing both physical and psychological damage while still laughing
What's even worse about that, is that I'm pretty sure that's an actual torture method in the middle ages
geralds game has got to be the most gruesome scenes for me. I could just imagine the will it takes to go through with that, I can almost imagine the pain and sensations when watching that scene
I actually fainted on a plane while watching that movie. Mind you, I hadn't had breakfast and pressure changes in the plane fucked me up. But yeah that one scene is the reason I fainted.
bro that woman is out of her mind even thinking of that. this isn't like saw where you have to give yourself severe injuries to escape, she was literally just stuck on a bed by her arms. way too over the top and unnecessarily disturbing
Anytime someone in a horror movie has to injury themselves to escape something is the worst for me, because the mental drive you need to be able to hurt yourself that bad to escape is crazy
@@sshadyh also, the fact that they have to live with knowing that they did that to theirself
@@sshadyh jigsaw might be the franchise for you lol
Oh gosh, yikes, these were all so horrifying! Nice job on the video!
I have a few in mind, but I will go with the ending of "the mist" also by Stephen King, to what happens to the main character and also to the soldier with the spiders. Lovecraftian horror at its best.
One of my favorite endings ever.
Time to watch Gerald's game and the babysitter. Great video!
This is why practical effects are amazing for horror and live action is one of the few genres I prefer in live action
No mention of Tusk or Human centipede?
was gonna say this, my worst fear is being stuck like that
Lornas death in Hostel part 2. Completely undeserved and BRUTAL.
Agreed. I don’t understand why she’d go out with Roman even though she hadn’t known him for an hour
@@Dhdhfjsidjchseidih its proof of concept. Rich people are pieces of shit.
I always felt sorry for Windows in John Carpenter's The Thing. He takes a sigh of relief once confirmed as human, only for mere moments later to be shoved into the mouth of a Thing, spat back out, and immediately set on fire, burning alive.
I;m actually going to say two horror movie death scenes are this way for me: the nail-gun death in Final Destination 3 and the microwaved pet of Urban Legend. For the nail-gun, this death makes me cringe the most due to just how many times Erin gets nailed in the face. And you see she's alive for most of it due to the body movements.
For the microwaved pet, I love the way the killer does a reverse Ghostface by saying *basically* "this one is the legend about the granny that microwaves her pet dog" to the one guy that loves his tiny dog at the party - you're killing the dog to punish the college student and I love it.
You should do a weekly community post titled "horror movie recommendation for the week". That would be really helpful!
i second this! That would be really great, especially with HitStart's knowledge of the genre.
I'd rather wear glasses than have a laser in my eyeball idc how safe it is
Same lol
idk, that one scene from bone tomahawk is still the most brutal scene in film I've ever seen
A cure for welness was an amazing movie! (maybe not a 10/10 but really interesting and creative) Definitely recommend it
Great video, great choices. I was aware only of the "degloving" scene in Gerarld's game but all the other sequences made me shiver as well.
Did you also have to close the book at that part
Stoppppp because no one ever talks about how great of a movie Oculus is!!!
It was especially relatable when you mentioned how it ruined staple removers for you bc it did the same thing to me when it came to light bulbs!! I couldn't look at one for months bc I'd just think of the scene of the girl chewing the shards of glass in her mouth 😓 also great video!!!!
My buddy & I watched Oculus a few years back. The events leading up to the lightbulb scene made us aware it was going to happen when she had the bulb next to the apple she was eating, but we still weren’t ready… 😆
When I was little I was sleeping in the same bed as my mum. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw the TV was still on. I didn't know this until recently, but Final Destination 5 was on and it was at the eye surgery death. Since I was so little it traumatized me for life and when I realized it was coming when I was properly watching the film years later, I couldn't watch because of how much it scarred me when I was a kid. VL
Very Nice… i work in a office and probably could never take a Staple Remover in my hand again without thinking about that scene lol
Oh man. Even though they’re blurred I couldn’t watch some of these 🤢Awesome vid, great content!
About that last scene - look up "degloving injury" and you'll get an idea how bad that is
i would take a part 2 of this since you had so many picks ^^
I think I just had my most physical response ever to the "A Cure for Wellness" entry. So simple yet so effective.
I refuse to go to the dentist, the place traumatises me. The worst movie I’ve seen involving teeth and that fully put me off going to the dentist, was literally The Dentist. Truly horrifying.
bruh I can normally take gore (I love the saw and final destination films) but somehow that finger scene still gets to me, even when censored.
Exactly
Gerald's game reminds me of a different movie that's really similar called Till Death. The wife is cheating, the husband takes them out to the woods for a retreat, but really he knows so he handcuffs himself to her once they get to bed, and maybe even also to the bed? Anyway he commits the not living, and strands her there with his dead weight, and she has to try to survive.
You forgot that he also arranged for her rapist (I think? The guy assaulted her or something?) and an accomplice of his to show up at the place, probably hoping they'd kill her
Watching this while eating my dinner. That nail clip is yum
1:39 The least pain dentist appointment:
Great video do another pog champ
If you ever make a part 2, you should watch Martyrs (2008) because it has some gruesome punishments.
The one dance scene from Suspiria was nuts
There is no way that you used the movie "A Cure for Wellness" and did NOT mention the eels?!!!
I haven’t watched Gerald’s Game, but why didn’t she stood up and take the handcuffs out of that thing they were on? (don’t know how those pieces of wood at the points of the beds are called) they clearly fit trough the upper part.
The film goes into depth about that and other possible ways of escaping. Sadly for her, the bed widens again so the cuff can’t slide off, and she’s not strong enough to break the wood
@@AogNubJoshh but she could try to cut the wood not her hand
Yeah so she basically does but its just a imagination. And because its unrealistic because its reinforced.
This was awesome cause now i can go watch a couple of these movies that ive never seen
That scene from A Cure for Wellness had me clutching my mouth with both hands. 😱
I‘d say the eel swallowing is also pretty bad in a cure for wellness
I feel like a cure for wellness is like shutter island but horror and that’s why I loved it so much haha
I have been watching these videos for quite some time and i really love everything about them. What he covers in his videos is brutal and also really interesting, he also doesn't have a really annoying voice like many other youtubers and he looks normal. You deserve a sub from me my friend.
Definitely need the Needle Pit from Saw 2
I still love that the bedframe in Gerald's Game is the Lasser Glass from Oculus
worst is having your skin torn off in silent hill
i know it's not a horror, but Lydia in Breaking Bad had a shocking punishment as well. She had to spend the rest of her night after the call, waiting for her death due to poisoning
what about the film ‘seven’? the killer makes an obese man literally eat until his insides explode that was fucked
Mine would be in saw 5 where the girl had her throat ripped out by a fishing hook. 😬
At the fingernail part, bro didn't even scream in pain that much, he was just shook
Good list, but the worst punishment has to be at the end of Marty’s (2008) don’t watch it… 😂
i got an eyedrops ad in the middle of the final destination eye scene 😭😭
i like how he puts getting a nail ripped out side by side to getting your skull broken apart
For a Cure to Wellness that scene is a reference to the Marathon Man where basically the same thing happens
Max from babysitter might actually be my favorite horror movie character of all time, that movie is so great and it has the perfect ratio of brutal deaths and light comedy with a few shocks and surprises to make for a fun night watching horror movies by yourself specifically. The reason I like max so much is because he's kind of that one person who you don't have any idea what's going on in his head but he's really fun to watch and mimics the voice of the intrusive thoughts that we all have.
That drill scence from "A Cure for Wellness" made me feel afraid of going to the dentist for years until I have to force myself to go.
1:38 this would be perfect for a saw trap
omg this guy is so funny when he was talking about the hot old guy from gerald’s game
Gerald's Game is so good. And so unsettling
First CZcamsr to ever cut to the chase and yet start with “hi guys”
The worst fate is the face peel in hostel
some parts in hostel and green infernal messed me up
If you thought Green Inferno is bad, just imagine what Cannibal Ferox & Cannibal Holocaust are like....
I actually almost vomited whilst watching a cure for wellness. That's never happened to me before because I love love love horror and thriller movies but the eel scene got me good😂😂
I legit shouted outloud at the tooth drill scene, Y I K E S , I could feel a vibrating feeling in my mouth !!
Awesome video
Can you do a part 2 of top 10 jumpscares
That Oculus scene makes me vocally react everytime I see it literally the only movie too like that
I don't care if A cure for wellness wasn't well received, aside from the goofy ending it was really memorable
I feel like an honorable mention would be the final scene in Halloween: Kills, and I don’t mean when Micheal is being beaten into the ground. I mean after that. The false sense of hope that’s portrayed after Karen stabs Micheal, like the entirety of the mob is like: “Finally. After so many deaths, he’s dead.” The pressure is lost, but then, you start to here Laurie’s little speech, talking about Micheal not truly being human. The flesh just a host for pure evil. It’s not even the murders that makes this scene terrible, it’s the hope stripped away from the normal townspeople. And right after that, the very unsuspecting Karen looks out of Micheal sister’s old window, assumed out of curiosity, and then you see that same figure that we’ve seen through the entire series, which stabs Karen in the back.
Thanks for not putting a spoiler warning
@@BananaHoovyJ.Rabbit that is entirely your fault.

this video was really good but now im scared of all the stuff in my house now
Oculus definitely had some creepy and gory scenes when it went between reality and tricks
The dumbest thing about Geralds Game is, if she just stood up, she could have taken both cuffs right off the top of the posts.
Major face palm to whoever chose that bed for the film. At least pick one where it gets noticeably bigger at the top. The one they picked is the same size if not smaller
i cant even handle that little drill at the dentist that sands your teeth down a bit
I've never seen the cure for wellness but from clips that i have seen it seems like shutter island but slightly different.

I just watched fear street and the worst torture in the first one was when Kates head is pushed thru the bread slicer after she is stabbed directly in the stomach. In the second one, it was probably when Ziggy gets stabbed many many times and she dies but then is revived with CPR and has to deal with the pain of being stabbed in the stomach and watching her sister Cindy die( Cindy died when she was hit multiple times in the chest with an axe, while ziggy was being stabbed, the two sisters died lying on the grass, blood staining there clothes with their hands outstretched towards each other’s). In the 3 rd one, it was probably at the beginning when the children were sitting dead in the church, with their eyes removed from their faces….
