And there was another penalty for Germany , but the referee ignored it !!!!!!!!!!!!Any way , the legend Germany 🇩🇪 team deserved to win this World Cup like all the competitions they won it 🇩🇪❤️🇩🇪❤️🇩🇪❤️🇩🇪❤️🇩🇪❤️
Having watched and studied this almost 100 times ... that second penalty awarded to Germany was a terrible mistake by an incompetent, English referee !! Holzenbeign clearly dived over the outstretched leg of Wim Jansen!! Absolutely certain there was no contact whatsoever and the referee was way too far behind the incident to notice anyway!! Only days earlier, Holzenbeign had done the same trick against Poland too to get a penalty!! If that penalty was not awarded to Germany ... the match could have gone either way !!
Muller was just such a scrapper. There is such a thing as a typical Muller Tor, and it is always kind of a sketchy affair. He is pivoting, sliding, jumping - it's never quite elegant, but always deadly. Also surprising how strong he was with Kopfball, for being relatively short.
Gegen die DDR zu verlieren war damals ein guter Trick, um Holland in der 2. Runde aus dem Weg zu gehen. Ähnlich wie Herberger 1954 gegen Ungarn im ersten Spiel.

I have ONLY respect for all clubs, as an institution, and some national teams // such as, Barça, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Man U, Man C, ac milan, inter, psg, anderlecht, feyenoord, ajax, arsenal, chelsea, juventus, valencia, atletico Madrid, boca, river plate, etc...but not for the ARROGANT OVERPAID players, who can't be bigger or important than the club, ....-) // some players had the change, to showw their skillz such as pele, maradona, cruyff, di steffano, puskas, eusebio, etc and others hadn't that oppurtunity but maybe more skillz and talent ...-)

@@thomaspeiker5577 ganz einfach, die DDR war in dem einen Vorrundenspiel besser, weil sie in ihrer stärksten Verfassung gegen die BRD antraten. Die BRD war nicht in ihrer stärksten Verfassung. Zum Beispiel war Netzer nicht mehr so gut, weswegen er danach nicht mehr eingesetzt wurde. Von da an spielte die wahre BRD während die DDR ausgebrannt sang- und klanglos unterging. Somit war die BRD verdient Weltmeister und natürlich auch insgesamt besser als die DDR.

Daniel Fuchs nö, auch 3 Gruppenspiele in der 2. Finalrunde mit 2 Gruppen à 4 Mannschaften. Die Gruppensieger bestritten das Finale.
Damals waren glaube ich weniger Mannschaften dabei,und das soll ja noch mehr erhöht werden in Zukunft.
