assalamu alaykum everyone! exactly 8 months ago, i went to my exchange which was september 29, 2023. i still cannot process how it is already that long since i first landed in malaysia, since i could still vividly remember remember the details of everything that happened that day. i just knew that the moment i landed in malaysia, Allah swt had granted me my long time dream life, and i wasn't wrong.
never have i felt homesick for my entire exchange, not even a tiny bit. rather-- malaysia felt like a home to me. it has allowed me to discover so many things about myself and improve, as well as to learn about the cultures and customs of others. i was exposed to diversity with everyday that i lived in malaysia, which is something i am very passionate about. not to mention that this is also a muslim country as well-- where i could practice my religion freely with prayer rooms and halal foods everywhere. i wasn't exaggerating when i said i was living my dream life, but just like any other things, there is an end.
this was the ending that was way too quick for me, and i find it so hard to grasp. i thought i would only be sad and would need a therapy treatment during my first month back in the Philippines, but surprise~ it has been three months since i went back but i am still here-- bitter for what happened. but Qadarullah, alhamdulillah. because Allah made me experience these things, and that alone is a huge blessing.

Hello etsy...I am crying with you watching your last journey in Malaysia. It was so beautiful, everything about it. You did well, I enjoyed your journey so much as I am missing malaysia too (I am now in Korea and hard to go back until I graduated)...I remember crying too for my friends and my boyfriend that leaving korea. Your vlog accompany me in each meals, a slow paced and pov of a foreigner in malaysia...entertained me and it does lessen my homesick. I wish you can meet your bestfriend Haneul again in Korea!

I’ve been watching you since last month! Awwwwh.. I felt the pain you experienced in this video 😭.. I am crying with you while watching your last day in Malaysia. I am actually in Malaysia right now, and also leaving in 3 days.. (I am also Filipino) 😭 I am glad you enjoyed your stay here, seeing new places, and trying different foods, and the best part is you met amazing people along the journey.. it’s truly sad that you left, (and sad I’m leaving) but let’s just accept reality and overcome it.. But at least we got to experience this opportunity to go out of your comfort zone.
