Motorcycle Camping in Snowdonia on a Triumph Bonneville T120 and a Yamaha Tracer 9GT. Moto Camp.

- Day 2 of our motorcycle camping adventure saw us up early and taking on the mighty Pen-y-Pass on the Triumph Bonneville T120 and Yamaha Tracer 9GT.
Up with the birds, the day started with an early breakfast in Barmouth, then onwards towards the majesty of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in North Wales. There's no shortage of great roads to try in the area, travel midweek and you'll be blessed with relatively quiet roads to enjoy at your own pace, giving you time to take in the scenery.
For us, we had just the one day to fit in as much as we could before we needed to set off for home, so the Pen-y-Pass had to be done. As always, Wales delivered big on the vistas, and the roads to see them were just perfect đđ»

I'd have found it torture to watch someone else ride my Bonnie, Matt. You are a very good mate. Perhaps buy him a slightly longer T shirt this Christmas though... As others have stated - it's been good to see your motorcycle from a different perspective. Stunning as always.
It wasnât easy to be honest, but heâs not a careless rider so I wasnât too stressed đ.
Thank you. Matt's videos are soothing and a benchmark for touring. The jackets and helmets are all helpful. From Japan
Thank you so much, glad youâre finding the videos helpful too đ
I don't watch many vids twice. Good job.
My analytics thank you đ As do I đ
Another great video đđđ
Thank you, glad you think so đ
So good. Your T120 is a gorgeous thing. Your soundscape is beautiful - pleasure to listen to your video on top of enjoying the video and story.
Thanks so much, donât often get compliments on the sound of the videos, but itâs something Iâm always working to improve. Very much appreciate that!
Nice ride. Have friends who camp on top of the park.
Itâs a great spot for camping when itâs quiet.

Having the Yammie as "camera bike" added a whole new dimension, we've only ever seen the Bonnie riding by before, and it's lovely to see it on the move, even if it is a bit odd to have the wrong shaped rider onboard.
And I still have table envy.
I have to admit I enjoyed seeing it on the move too, now I just need to earn enough from YT to employ a film crew to follow me around on my trips so I can do it all the time, shouldn't be too hard...
You can't have my table, it's mine.
Doesn't mean I can't covet it. Although maybe not if I want to keep riding my bike round inside churches.
nice vid as usually Matt
Thanks mate!
Another pleasant watch Matt. When you get chance, give me a shout, there's something you may be interested in.
Glad to hear you liked it mate. Whatâs the thing I might be interested in?
@@ClassicRides A ride out to a classic bike show one evening.
@@ChunkehMunkeh Bike nights and tings like that aren't really my cup of tea to be honest, but thanks for the offer though, very nice of you đđ»
@@ClassicRides It was more about the ride to and fro Matt. But fair enough. Maybe a different trip.
It's beautiful road and nice view. Thx to presenting.
Youâre welcome, glad you liked it.
Your Bonnie sounds amazing through headphones, such a deep rumble. Great video and music. Having seen a few wingman tents, I donât think theyâre for me and my old back. đ
Thanks Jeremy, it sounds like thunder in a tunnel đ. The Wingman is quite comfy apparently, my friend whose tent it is was very happy with it, though I'm quite happy with my own tent so I won't personally be changing to one any time soon.
Totally brilliant watching your videos. Makes me get out and do it ..
Thanks Barrie, I hope you do!
Amazing soundtrack choice Matt, and all combined made a brilliant end result, well done you! đđ
Thanks, Iâm a big fan of the middle track by Mondays, such a great song đ
One more great video, love your channel.
Thanks! đ
Nice to watch. Lovely music. đ
So glad you liked it đ
Great job! Makes me want to go camping⊠Love the tunes too. đ€
I think you going camping sounds like something you should do đđ»
Your T120 is achingly beautiful! Love the new Hedon helmet in your other video too!!
Thanks! That Hedon helmet is a true work of art, feels crude wearing it as a safety measure đ
It is so good ride! Have a nice summer season đ
Thanks Atsuki! We have lots of rain in the UK so I think our summer is already over đ§ïž
You wouldn't" want to be camping on Shell Island today Matt the weather is awful! However hope you enjoyed your visit and as always great job!
I bet, itâs horrible everywhere today. We got lucky with the island being fairly quiet đ
Because the name change? . excellent adventure, good routes
I had lots of reasons for changing the channel name and I did a little community post about it, so if you're interested have a look there đ Glad you liked the video đđ»
Hi great videos ended up getting a v7 stone couldn't afford the t 120 đą
Nothing wrong with a V7 Graham, fantastic bikes I hear.
What? You let someone else ride your Bonneville? Good thing I'm sitting down watching thisđ
haha, yes, he's perhaps the only other person I'd let ride it; and even then him going home in several different bin bags if he'd have wrecked it wasn't off the cards đ
â@@ClassicRidesno need for refuse sacks, just wrap him in his Wingman it's like a canvas body bag.
@@AlexOnABoat I hadn't thought of that, but it is the perfect size...
Nice!
please, one day, I would like you to show your equipment;
the camera tripod, mine is too big, I can't take it on my bike.
You can find a listing for the tripod on my Amazon page, if you click on the Amazon link you should find a page with a âcamera & filmâ category, the tripod I use is listed there đ
Ive lived in western Canada for 28 years now originally from Yorkshire. Looking forward to moving back home, there is no place like the English countryside. Yep we got the Rockies here, but the roads thru them are straight and kind of boring....Looking forward to coming back to North Yorkshire pretty soon. And placing another T120 in the garage. Though it will be a sad day to leave my Gold line T120 behind in Canada đđ
Iâm sure your current T120 will forgive you knowing that youâll be giving another T120 the life it deserves. Yorkshire roads and Bonnies were meant to be together đ
Whereabouts are you in Canada? Iâve lived in Victoria since 2006 and am currently back in Scotland, but missing BC badly.
@@jerhughes500 Alberta !!!! I have travelled all over Canada the island lots too. Winter is just too damn long in this country. Taxes and cost of living here isnât worth the payback anymore. My wife puts it best (sheâs the Canadian) there is no neighbourhood feel in Canada. Everyone goes to work and comes home closes their doors and blocks the world outđ€·ââïžđ€·ââïž at least in the UK you pop down to the local pub for a beer and a meal. In Canada they do liquor stores and drive thru đđ
@@colingoldthorpe5918 it's funny, I lived near Sidney by the sea, and there's a good community feel there as it's quite a small area, so you see the same people over and over. Quite a few pubs there too. I think it's a bit of a unique place actually, and I miss it. Hardly any snow there either!
Beautiful composition, how you find the difference between the two bikes?
Very different, the Tracer fairly docile until about 3500rpm, then it jets off like an animal. Thinking about doing a âreviewâ video for next week as a few people have asked what I thought about it.
Sorry me again.. Always loved the production and quality of your videos and was wandering if you could give me some advice? I have just bought a DJI mini pro 3 and wanted to know if my NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4060 8GB GRAPHICS CARD in my laptop will be sufficient for editing 4k footage be it on a go-pro or the Mini pro 3? It will be to much money and hassle to upgrade any advice is very much appreciated.
Ride safe my friend
đ....... đ€đ
Iâm sorry I have no idea. I donât use those cameras or graphics cards so I donât know how either performs.
My back garden.. i'm so lucky that i have lived feet away from some of the best roads in the UK, I have lived in South, Mid and now living for the past 12 years in North Wales, i also lived in Oban on the west coast of Scotland..
I started doing vlogs myself about 12 months ago but stopped when my laptop gave up the ghost, but now after watching your incredible videos. I've decided to get started again but having lots of problems trying to decide on which laptop to buy..
Do you edit your videos on a PC or a laptop? If on a laptop can i be really checky and ask which one..
I dont have space for a PC so it needs to be a laptop.. i was looking at a Alienware M18 gaming laptop but i think It maybe a bit over the top.. and spending over ÂŁ3,000 on a laptop is i think a little overkill..
I do need something that can handle 4k as I've recently bought a DJI Mini pro 3 and will definitely be filming in 4k..
Any advise or recommendations would be greatly appreciated..
Anyway hope you enjoyed your time up here in Snowdonia National Park it is a very stunning part of our island.
As always I look forward to your next video.
Ride safe my friend.
đ....... đ€đ
Thanks, glad to hear youâve been enjoying the videos.
Personally I think Iâd struggle to edit videos on a laptop, although I know a lot of people do. I use a 27inch iMac as thatâs what I use for work, it just happens that it can just about handle video work so I had no need to change to anything else, plus I find having a large screen very useful.
I know the Alienware laptops are serious bits of kit so Iâm sure that youâd be fine if you got one, although for 3k Iâd rather get something thatâs purpose built for video work.
@@ClassicRides Really appreciate your reply, I'm finding it harder to choose a laptop than I do a bike lol.. I've never used an Apple PC hence I'm sticking with Windows.. wish I had the room for a desk told PC it would probably make things easier.. but as long as I get a full spec laptop then it should be OK.
Thanks again.. Ride Safe my friend.

Haha, yes it wasnât me on the T120 this time đ The Tracer is very nice, the engine is very smooth and easy to use, but itâs not as comfortable as the T120. For me itâs very tall, I can only just reach the floor with my tiptoes, but itâs still nice to ride.
