he's nice. this kid has been taught fundamentals. footwork, use of the pivot and pump fakes are excellent. he will get the most out of his athletic ability. you can tell he's put in a ton of work drilling every aspect of the game.
Agreed, just needs to work on a higher release on his shot. That will come with age and better competition.
If he's 6'0 then I'm 7'9
He’s very intelligent and has very good fundamentals. But he lacks the explosiveness, speed, or extreme talent needed for the NBA. You don’t become a shorter, white PG in the NBA unless you’re as skilled/quick as Steve Nash
@@charlesg7926 One day he will be judged by his achievements and not the color of his skin.
@@smackette it's not as clever as you think it is.
The lads got a nice touch, great passing, very quick with a killer cross over, and he isn't afraid to go strong to the rim.
Two things that jump out at me right away:
1.) It must be wonderful to play on his team. Very unselfish and always finds the open man
2.) His team has obviously clued into the above because there is always someone cutting to the hoop. Makes it fun to watch (and play)
Dude gets away with A LOT OF TRAVELING. I counted 4 times he took 4 steps ball in hand before passing the ball.
@@portobelloedinburgh8891 Time stamps please
@@ncg4132 do your own rewinding research watching it in .05 speed like I did. Or you can ZELLE me $20. for the 4 time stamps of my time to laziness.
@@portobelloedinburgh8891 Your laziness will be your undoing my friend. You can make assertions all you want, but if you can't back it up to prove yourself, your voice will be nothing but a tiny echo in an uncaring world.
he steps out of bounds at 1:13...ref looks down at it but doesn't blow the whistle...
Now that's how kids should play no disrespectful showboating getting into opponents faces running there mouth he just plays. I love it and I'm rooting for this young man.
I always would keep my mouth shut and let my game do the talking.
@@HGHONDO yup that's how I was taught myself myself.
Micheal Jordon once said "I let my game do the talking"
He just won a state championship and was announced mr basketball for Illinois
He’s amazing. I didn’t see him miss once during the entire video. Wow.
He has not stopped growing either. Will make some college very happy
How tall is he?
@@thomasvelazquez9789 6ft
just committed to iowa YESSIR. with how iowa runs their offense he is gonna thrive here
THAT'S THE WAY BASKETBALL IS PLAYED ! PURE, NO SHOWBOATING !
Dude got skills
This cat is quick.
That dive won me over 👍
He just committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes!
Saw him back in January at Highland when they out played a much bigger Father Stilton team. He can run with the best. Only other guy at the shootout with as good or better handles was Rob Martin and Hardings court vision was second to none. High IQ player.
Dude can roll with anyone out there. Be fun to see how far he takes it.
Looks solid. Definitely needs to be seen against higher level competition
So glad Iowa got this kid along with Owen Freeman
Skilled player.. seems smart too.. Guard you want to play with and watch! Gonna have an awesome career
Division 1 guard . Super quick. And I mean super quick. Will be interesting to see how this goes
and he goes to.. IOWA
I like fundamentals so I don't get overly impressed with a handles type player, but the move he made at the 1:00 mark to lay it up was on point and his court vision is nice.
@Senna_Grillo 12 Totally agree.
doesnt seem to do anytig that doesnt lead to the next move, so no howing off for the sake of it, every move has a urpose, hot release loks low but that can be fixed, vision impresive for a lad, hope he makes it to a sollege team
@@baldurd6412 Agreed
FYI: Moline product, Harding has received multiple in-state DI mid-major offers from the likes of UIC, Bradley, EIU, WIU, ISU and SIU due to his exposure in playing in Mid Pro Academy (AAU). Before he didn't have any DI offers.
Well he just won a state title as well and was announced mr basketball for Illinois kid can ball
Great player, great skills! One thing though is, when I played back in the early 80’s, you absolutely could not put your hand on the side the ball while dribbling … that was automatically palming/double dribble. That limited how much you could get by the defender off the dribble. My neighbor plays for the Creighton women’s bball team and I watched them in the NCCA tourney. Their cutting and screening was so fun to watch. They were better than the sum of their parts.
Great handles and court awareness
Aye man keep doing yo Thang
Nice game he has, and especially the unselfish play!
He scored 28 points against Normal Community High School. I believe the last guy to do that was Jalen Brunson.
Joga muito esse garoto ... NBA ,vai fazer sucesso
Now that's what I'm talking about the kid got skills. He's young but i wouldn't be surprised if a few NBA Scouts are looking at this kid for their future line up
You can't teach quickness. But this kid has the stutter dribbling abilities, can penetrate and the ability hit the open man underneath. He's a triple threat with that good outside shot.
He is causing players to run into each other, they stand a better chance man to man, he is a master at timing up the defense.
He already hold high major d1 offers
He has the it factor!
Would love to see Brock play at Villanova, he could succeed really well there in that offense!
This kid looks VERY reminiscint of a young Mark Price.
@@Cre8Fire34 Great point, he does!
I Personally would like for him to play at Duke!
@@nikkichevyable I think Jon Sheyer would like Brock to play at Duke also!
@Senna_Grillo 12 What? 🤣 Did you ever see Mark price play? The dude was cat quick, extremely shifty at the pro level and was actually the point guard that popularized splitting the screen. Now I really appreciate Brock's abilities and I think he's gonna be an outstanding college point guard but let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
He’s fast! An ankle breaker.
Stockton 2.0? All of these kids nowadays are so much better than the “average” high schooler when I was young. The Trae Young’s of the world are pretty ensuring that all the young guys who are serious have the moves. I hope he goes far.
Are you kidding? The way he plays this kid is going places
Saw this kid play last night, didn't even know who he was but I saw him warming up and I knew.
He's gonna make it to the NBA he keep at it
Great video. Quick feet, good fundamentals. But NBA? At this point? He's lucky if he gets into a top 10-15 D1 program and even start. There are TONS of great, somewhat similar players these days. He's good, even great perhaps. But you can go to a random playground in southside Chicago, north Philly, Harlem, Venice beach and see young players with similar type skills. He'll do well, or should, barring anything unforseen (hopefully not) but lets be realistic. Finally, the D in these videos by the oppoistion is shocking at times.
Come on down to Duke
yes!!!
Trust me Duke is probably talking to this kid right now
You can have Him.
He going to the league, he going to the league
Pure intelligence that is a rarity in the game. The whole team feeds off of him.
That joker definitely got game.💪🙌🔥🔥🔥
Headline should've said "Hes a nightmare, PERIOD!!!!😳💯💯😱
Playing good ball! Has long arms which will really help at the next level!
he's got smooth game
I can totally see him running Villanova's offense one day.
I can totally see his daughter getting trained by Larry Nassar one day
just committed to iowa which is also a good fit with how the offense runs there
THAT BOY GOOD! HOUDINI 😎
Bro kinda reminds of high school sharife cooper
bro ong dribblees passes everrything
I like how he has hesitation moves without the ridiculous NBA gather/travel step.
Very sound player.great upside!
From just the film alone he’s got talent, I don’t know what classification he plays in? I don’t know the level of competition he plays against. IMO He looks like he would be a great G(guard) to play with, He is definitely a CG(combo-guard)and if he grows, gains some muscle(not that he NEEDS it but it helps)he could be a damn good player at the D1 level. Someone said Villanova I believe and that is a perfect fit, a Colin Gillespie type player for sure!
Those from the face outside shooting shots... don't even bother to show those because no one is guarding him. His moves to the basket and passing, very good.
Really nice!
Reminds me of myself with the great moves ! Keep going and growing
Hmmmmm .... this kid reminds you of yourself ? And do you have these dreams often😉😴
you sound like flight haha
0:45 I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. 5'10". Was most athletic and handsome (quote unquote) from age 20-27, when I also played my best basketball, and was most confident with girls). I did NOT expect a 6'0" guy to dunk with such ease!
Anticipation.. .. ...
Looks great! He is very quick. The only thing I don’t like is he jumps in the air to pass it a lot. Needs to change that ! 👍
He’s jumping to possibly shoot and then finds an open teammate is what I saw.
He can jump in the air all he wants as long as he doesnt turn it over/throw it away.
@@ralphgreenwood2469 that’s how turnovers happen! Haha coaches never text this because it causes turn overs. The kid is very talented but everyone can always improve. This is how I could see him improve that’s all.
Naw the kid is fine
Killer out here
Good skills.
I don't like the camera's constant moving though.
Talk about shifty!! And his court awareness reminds me of luka
Smooth
Trae Young is only 6' so size shouldn't be a problem. He'll go to a big school, I hope.
The boy is nice
Literally reminds me of lyric irving
Kyrie Irving
Solid
Loyola should be a perfect fit for him. Maybe Purdue or ND if his grades are decent.
Duke or North Carolina
or iowa which he just committed to. great fit for him. he has his teammate committed here with him as well
the Steph Curry Affect
he aight
small d1 school written all over him!
hes gonna go too iowa just wait
Exactly and I can see him going crazy in March madness one day like 5/5 from three
@@EllisSwartz you we're right
@@EllisSwartz iowa is a perfect fit for him with how we run our offense
Plays like Jason Williams aka white chocolate. Quick!!!!
D1 forsure
Better hope he has a Larry Bird type growth spurt
He also very good player
He dose reminders of Peter kiss 🏀
He's nice
Yeah! he got it, scary this is just H.S he's not through growing
I was thinking the same thing
Reminds me of myself except he's good at basketball.
Jay will vibes mos def
Is MIDPRO ACADEMY EYBL?
DUDE HAS POTENTIAL BUT AT 6FT HE NEEDS MORE EXTENTION ON HIS JUMP SHOT IF HE MAKES PRO. OTHER THAN THAT HE HAS SOME TALENT TO BECOME THE NEXT WHITE CHOCOLATE JASON WILLIAMS.
Is this local YMCA league?
Nice
And defence ?
It must be fun to play in this era where you can carry and palm the ball and not get called on it.
Must have a Silk hanky in his pocket!
he can play.....
He plays like John Stockton
Get it white boy. He’s nice.
My God! Today's basketball has zero defense so many times he left the ball wide open to swat and steal...kids got good IQ and vision
Iowa’s newest comment
Gotta show defensive highlights.
Noticed both teams had on black uniforms?
I watch this and I’m like this high schooler got skills! He as well as other BOYS high school basketball is entertaining. With that being said the WNBA wants more pay, but they are not entertaining, nor do they bring in the revenue for such said pay.
He reminds me of Jason Williams and Allen Iverson (largely because of his height and ball-handling skills), but he's MUCH more under control than Jason Williams was.
Where is he going to college?
University of Iowa!
He’s not 6 feet
What year is he in and anyone know who has interest in him
He's heading to Iowa
Headed for Duke? One ACC school cause Mom and Dad want him too. Instead, he should go to a predominantly black high school and bypass college completely.
Eye test: D-1 player
He’s NOT 6’ lol
Like his game better than Bronny.
T
Hmm, don’t think he’s 6’0”?
He's very good but not impossible to guard. STOP IT! :)
The post doesn't say "impossible," only a "nightmare," meaning difficult.
Kid is legit. Not just white hope.
