  • Welcome to our third session.
In the previous videos, we already established our code of ethics and implemented the relevant mechanisms to prevent conflicts of interest.
If you have not yet watched the first two episodes, why not to go our channel and find out how easy it is!
We are responsible for our choices...
but what should we do if we spot an irregularity or illegal act?
It is no use planting good seeds, picking healthy fruit, transporting the produce very carefully if we leave a rotten apple in the juice processor.
You may think it's just one, and that it won’t have enough time to spoil the other apples. But one rotten apple will contaminate all the juice at any stage of production.
What we can do, is implement mechanisms to identify the bad seeds to ensure there are no bad apples.
One of the most effective methods is to use a reporting channel.
Create and circulate potential ways of reporting, e.g. email, phone and website.
Present the causes and situations that could result in bad practices, and explain how your employees could be unsure of how to act in certain situations.
Please note that secrecy and anonymity are crucial to enable employees to trust the channel.
Any reports or doubts submitted by professionals in good faith should not lead to disciplinary action.
Should you identify an act of misconduct, the integrity committee investigate, establish timelines and decide on the appropriate disciplinary action which may take the form of a warning, suspension or even dismissal.
If your partners and employees trust the confidentiality of your reporting channel, they will contribute to generating a safe and healthy environment in your company.
The purity of your juice depends on all the apples.
Our last session will talk about how to train your business partners in your integrity policy and to communicate it. Not to be missed!
    Integrity generates confidence!
    Invest in integrity!
