    Do you ever have problems with certain colors not laying down nice? I noticed about half the colors have alot of peal in them.

      Most colors look like they have a lot of pearl when wet. But should dry flat. Spies is very thick. But it always is nice and smooth when dry.

    What air pressure do you spray base ? Clear? Also are you full fluid and full fan ?

    • @everyday_painter
      @everyday_painter  Před 4 lety +1

      25 psi for base. Clearing with iwata supernova about 28 psi clearing with sata about 30 psi. I have fluid fully open for all my guns. Fan on satas are fully open. Iwata supernova fan is about 3 turns out.

      @@everyday_painter I must be doing something wrong I use cromax pro and it takes me 15 for just a bumper

    • @everyday_painter
      @everyday_painter  Před 4 lety

      15 is definitely a lot for a bumper. Especially with Axalta. This stuff covers so well. It only takes me about 9 for a bumper. Depending on size. But usually about 5 for replacement panels or whole door (not including door jambs.) and 3 for blend panel.

    Are you always using a light grey sealer for dark colors?

    • @everyday_painter
      @everyday_painter  Před 4 lety

      I think this was a more medium gray. But yeah for the most part. This paint covers extremely well. Haven’t noticed any problem with the color sealers I’ve chose.

      @@everyday_painterthank for the input. I know with auto wave plus the closer the sealer was the better coverage you got. Just recently switched over to spies as well

    • @everyday_painter

      Undercoat definitely mattered with Autowave. When I used Autowave I had the colorbuild system as well so I would use color primer and sealer. Spies is nice. It doesn’t seam to matter what the undercoat is. It covers. Haha.

    Do you prefer sata 5500 o iwata ws400 for clearcoat? You are a fantastic player
    AMAZING

    • @everyday_painter
      @everyday_painter  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you! I love the way both of them spray. Iwata seems easier to go for a glass like finish. The 5500 is an amazing gun though. I use the I cap for clear with a 1.3. It lays it out nice and hammers it on. Which is great for this clearcoat.
