I have the SBGA031 double logo. Only worn in a few times. Sent it to Japan to get it serviced, polished, and a brand new bezel. It's basically a brand new 031. The only problem is I am scared to wear it now. It hasn't been touched for 2 years.
Wear it with care. It will be fine. I always remove my watch when I type on the computer, and the clasp, bracelet and watch case are as new as ever. Wash it regularly every few days. When you remove your watch and place it down, just put a soft cloth in between the bracelet to prevent scratches.
Great video and lovely high-end Grand Seiko But would rather stick with my under the radar Seiko LX titanium spring drive . Really like it when non watch ⌚ people think it's 🤔 just a standard run-of-the-mill Seiko
Wearing a Citizen Excalibur because it’s big orange minute hand is awesome. That Seiko has to be the ultimate Japanese dive watch, the sophisticated mechanical movement with quartz precision is amazing.
Curently using the sbga229, sold my Rolex 126600 a while ago due to its hairline magnet properties, and cal 3235 problems. So far, very happy and no regrets 👌
Nothing is making me part with my sgbx335. After years with auto movements ranging from mako to Rolex the 9f quartz will see me out till the end of my days. It’s the only watch non-watch people have constantly commented on. Half the price of these. Only pro is weight but put it on a silicone, nato or sailcloth and problem solved. I wear it every day, formal, informal, and I love it. My favourite all time watch. Great videos by the way
Just wanted to relay an atta boy for the inclusion of a couple of details... the make up of the high intensity titanium (I've been curious for a while about that one) as well as the average deviation of .5 sec/day. Most stick to the typical statement of +/-15 sec/month. Small details but appreciated none the less
Great, detailed review - thanks. Probably the best daily diver in the world? Undoubtedly a better watch than Rolex (Sub) or Omega (SMP) produce. Those Seiko/GS clasps get a lot of flack, but they are true dive clasps and perform better in the waves than the competition because they compress to lock. What stops me from pulling the trigger is mainly size - I'd prefer it more at a more everyday wearable 40-42mm. But, I'd still buy if it at 44mm if it had been blue dial/Ti! Ain't there always something?!
thanks for the video. very informative!! i'm wearing the Pepsi Padi Turtle. just got it 1 week ago. I've started to get into Divers. before that, I got the GS Gold Snowflake. i would say so far my fav in my collection is my Jokovic mother-of-pearl Astron, but i think the SBGA463 will be my next watch.
I'm not wearing ANY watch!..just been burgled and lost my job because of the Flu aaaand I cannot afford a replacement timepiece right now! 😢😢 Gutted..my Rolex..Two Tissots..2 Seikos..a Omega and a Phoibos gone.. Insurance weasled out of any payment too!..AMAZING!! Doubt I'll ever be able to afford to replace them all either now tbh
Good to know my SBGA229 is NOT an ISO diver since it doesn't have the lume at 3 lol. C'mon GS, it's time to do a real refresh of this watch with the 5-day movement and coherent design language choices.
@William Shakespeare The Turd I was thinking of the 5-day SD movement, that would be the one for me. But I also see the appeal of Hi-Beat movements in GS divers.

I'd say that the LX collection is a great alternative to this actually, and has some advantages for sure!
Seiko LX! Snr029! Awesome awesome watch.

Nice Sbga229! Good move selling the Rolex, that is the best thing to do with them ;)
@@chrisltj you might be right. 👍
Really love the GS watch but unfortunately it is well outside my price range. Happy New Year!
Hi Peter, GS will be here when you are ready! I will be rooting for you in the future!
GS SLGA007 my christmas gift.

There is no better than their Spring Drive accuracy.
The truth!

Thank you Jason! I do a tremendous amount of research before making these videos, so I appreciate you pointing out the nuances! Happy New Year!
@@chrisltj Gotta recognize the effort Chris 👍🏼 Happy New Year
Great music choice Chris! It takes me right back to Christmas of 1996!
Thank you Kyle! It sounds like the music worked ;). I still have my n64 up and running lol.
@@chrisltj Yes! Keep it going, haha!

Nice , wearing my sla023. Would like to try the sla055 love the movements in these
We have an SLA055 in stock now if you want one!
Wearing my GS SBGH291 (Hi-Beat titanium variant) while watching your vid. And I also have the Snowflake, and I agree, it’s a beauty and a joy to wear.

Hi 2 Mac, I'm so sorry to hear this -- I'll be rooting for you to get back on your feet quickly and of course that you are healthy!
Seiko Samurai Blue Lagoon. Why am I wearing it? It's a great summer watch!
Very nice! Summer will be back soon hopefully!
@@chrisltj I'm in Australia, summer is in full swing.
any concerns with the buckle being too think and the lower part not folding under?
🫵🏼👍🏼🙏🏼👊🏼✌🏼
Wearing a Tudor heritage black bay S&G and I love it. 😊
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Seiko SLA047 I bought from your shop!
Excellent choice!!! Love that one!
How much? I'll stick with the Prospex divers. Got my Casio GShock DW5610SU strapped on. Happy New Year Chris.
Happy New Year Oki! All Seiko/Grand Seiko divers are special
This is my next watch! Thanks for the review 🙂
Great, just let us know when you are ready. We have one in stock now!
SBGA229. I prefer stainless steel to titanium.
Nice, I hear this often!
The gold GS *Mauh* chefs kiss
Great video. Is it me or does the bezel not line up correctly? Wearing my Breguet Type XXI 3815
Hi Clive, where are you seeing it not line up? I'll check it out.
Why did you choose a pyramid for your logo?
It evolved with a diamond in mind and is now a half diamond or pyramid! Great question!
Wearing an SBGA231!
Great choice!!
Nice comparison review, Chris.
Thank you Michael, Happy New Year!
Seiko Samurai love the comfort of the strap .
Slga 001. Sold off almost my entire collection to get it 😅
Great content! I just subscribed. Looking forward to seeing where this channel will go :)
Thank you Asura, I'm glad to have you on board, and won't let you down!
Seiko MarineMaster 600m spring drive…because = science 😜
Is the bezel ceramic?
ML Triple Date Phase de Lune
bezel is DLC on top

Nice comparison vdo.
Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed it
Great video
Pity, I was hoping it would be 40mm. Sigh.... One day
Wearing my favorite piece, the Snowflake
You forgot to mention The newer ones use 9r85 movement instead of 9r65!!
That’s the theme from Super Mario 64, why do I know this 😂
It’s bad it’s so big. 42 mm would be better
Microadjust looks so cheap
Still same, too bigg and too thicc.
The power indicator is unforgiveable. Just hideous.
is the bazel is ceramic?is it skratch resistant?
