I've lived in San Francisco more than 30 years and believe your recommendations are legit! That's based on the preferences of my extended Chinese family ranging in age from 93 to 25. We've been to 5 of the 10 places you visited and definitely recommend Pineapple King Bakery, San Tung, Shanghai House, Mamahuhu, and Tea Hut. Looking forward to more of your videos!

This is great! After watching, I realized how lucky I am to live in Taiwan where every one of these items is commonplace. However, usually only the basic style is available here, while the American versions have kicked it up a notch or two. For example, the pineapple buns here usually just come with chilled butter inside (advertised as "Hong Kong style"). The addition of guava and yam shown in the video sounds delicious. Food is one of the best things about San Francisco and I can't wait to visit again.

those chopsticks are so cool :) i’ve seen some people say that chopstick etiquette is to use the other end of your chopsticks if you’re picking up food for someone else / sharing, so maybe it’s for that !
I’m a native San Franciscan and San Tung is definitely a place you HAVE to try while in SF. Best wings in the city.

I concur about the San Tung wings. A local friend of mine introduced me to this place in 2016. She called them "crack wings." You can't get enough, lol! I've made it a point to go there when I visit SF, which has only been twice since, but they also offer the wings in the same style as diced and boneless; I tried it once and this is equally delicious. I look forward to trying your other restaurant suggestions. Thanks for the vid. :)

I am triple vaxed I wear a K95 American mask but live in an Asian food desert..The Duboce Triangle/Castro...Some of the places I know (San Tung ..god those wings!) but others are brand new, and thanks to you I can't wait to try them..Ryan is smart and funny..you two are great together..you now are subscribed and have your own "save" category. I went to sf state and me and my friends would always go to san tung. It's sooooo good. We order a plate of chicken each and then the black bean noodles. Also their place is the only place that serves super spicy kimchi and I always crave it

garden creamery is my fav ice cream in SF and the ube pandan and salty kaya are my fav flavors! I've never been to the other places you recommended so I'm super excited to adventure out to them. I can tell we will both travel for ube flavored things :D :D

San Tung wings are the absolute best. I've tried so many others and nothing compares.
I loved visiting SF. Altho I was alone and carless I was a little more scare to wonder around alone, but I loved the food in SF!!!! The clam chowder with crab in the bay area, the takoyaki, gyoza and ramen in Japantown!!! And roast duck and pork belly on rice OH MY GOD it was devine!!!!! (Oh and Thai Coffee with Onion bagels n cream cheese ahhh)
Nothing like Garden Creamery!!!! They are like family to me and the flavors are delish!!! I love salty kaya and their vegan dark chocolate :)

San Tung IS MY GO TO EVERYTIME I GO TO THE CITY!!!! OF COURSE I CALL IN MY ORDER ALL THE TIME BECAUSE THE LINE WAIT IS ALWAYS OVER AN HOUR LONG......BUT WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!
Great video. Next chance that you get, I recommend you visit Hong Kong Lounge for some dim sum or dinner. They have high quality food with amazing standards and deserve a shout out for sure. Try their coffee ribs for dim sum if you take up my recommendation.
As a lifelong san franciscan, I was in awe when I saw the places you went to! The pineapple king bakery is close to a restaurant I used to always go to for bitter melon and duck!

Killed it. I never watch these videos but you guys were so funny and compelling. I live in Hayes valley and those dumplings are just the tip of the iceberg there. I recommend that whole menu. I took a guest from New York and he agreed hands down best soup dumplings ever.
