How would you compare the sound quality of that Prex 8 versus the new Quantum? I have the Prex 8; but I want to go PC and I'm thinking about switching to the Presonus!
Hey I did like the 8 Pre X a lot I thought the preamps were pretty good, along with the AD conversion. However, with the Quantum it is definitely an upgrade from the 8 Pre x. The preamps are very neutral and don’t have any color it makes mixing very easy to dial in a sound. The amount of Gain that is available is amazing for quieter microphones such as SM7B. Lastly the main outputs used for monitoring are a noticeable improvement in monitoring compared to the 8 Pre X. ( I know all of this may be subjective, however I wasn’t actively looking for a new interface my 8PreX died randomly and forced my hand for a new interface, this seemed comparable to focusrites however once I got a handle on it it blew it away in every way!

Cool! What rtl latency are you getting on that system?
There is 0 latency if you use the Universal Control as a mixer and do input monitoring through that. However I prefer to monitor in my DAW (Studio One). The latency is minimal especially after adjusting the Buffer size along with running in Low Latency Mode.
@@415EastRecording Can you give out some rtl numbers? Like have you tried RTL teest(it's an app that measures real life roundtirp latency, not just the reported one)

Output volume? Or output routings? I definitely think this piece of gear is pretty versatile!
