I only ave one tattoo what that means so much to me from childhood trauma and abuse, to well when I was in active addiction to alcohol and now a recovering addict at just 5 years sober! I will have that tattooed on me forever for the reminder of enduring he’ll as a kid and in active addiction yet STILL here. Overcoming everyday, and still working hard to diminish the daily suffering and to heal. Not to forget, but to remember my STRENGTH even though still feeling lost some days. Still feeling broken and still living with my memories of regret everyday!

This is from their album "Nightmare," and they have some really emotional songs on the album as well, not all head bangers. They released this album shortly after suffering the tragedy of their drummer unexpectedly dying.
I got introduced to them in 2009 in a bar in Okinawa while in the Marines. The first song I ever heard from them was "A Little Piece of Heaven." That one is not for the faint of heart, lol.

If you do afterlife you have to watch just the lyrics. The music video removes so much of the song which takes away the emotion

Edit: One of A7X best songs, obviously, they have some other gems, but you said it. This _masterpiece_ is insane. It takes you on a journey of life, love, longing, hope, desperation, hopelessness, and grit. All within crazy instrumentals. I'm glad you didn't stop it anywhere. It's just not possible, really, if you know what's what. You simply must watch it again with their official video. It's _also_ a lyrics vid as well. But the visuals take you to the next level. A7X Shepherd of fire dueling guitars and Hail to the King are great for starters. We need to go down the rabbit hole with this band. My son turned me on to them years ago and they never disappoint. His father was Frank Zappa's lead guitarist back in the day and Guitar guy for Jeff Dunham Comedy specials.

Hi Shiloh, looking thru your rock reactions, you’ve touched on many of my favorite bands. You seem to love guitar solos. That means Eruption by Van Halen (specifically the late Eddie Van Halen since it’s his masterpiece) is a must 🤘. Great reactions and I love the fact you really feel the music and do lyric videos. Those emotions are what I have enjoyed since I was a kid in the 70’s 🙂.

I clicked as quick as I could. Avenged Sevenfold are my fav band right now. This song is so epic. A7X are a mix between Gun N Roses, Metallica and Iron Maiden. Try Nightmare, Afterlife, So Far Away, Seize the Day and Hail to the King. The thing about Avenged Sevenfold is that they can do both heavy and soft. Their guitar solos are epic. If you like drums then check out Hail to The king. It is one of my fav A7X songs. You should also check out the band Bullet for My Valentine. Try Scream Aim Fire, Tears Don't Fall and Waking the Demon.

I see someone below recommended A Little Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold since you liked this tune. I just wanted to give you a heads up because it is pretty shocking. To me it’s a fantastic song and incredible video...but I’m a little sick and twisted so I love it. I can also separate artistic expression from reality, so the song/video is just funny too me because of how dark and over the top it is. Anyway, view it but don’t let the shock keep you from enjoying the sound, rhythm changes, and musicality. I can’t wait for you to react to it...should be fun!
