That was really beautiful, Master Ruben! I really like all your directorial ideas and of course you have that great eye for a shot. Enjoyed every second
From almost warm, yet still grey Ireland! ☘💪🏽👀👍🏽☘
Thank you so much for all the kind words, my good brother. This was kind of improvised, but it turned out ok in the end. Big hug 🤗 to both of you!
Beautiful shoots, brother!!
Thank you so much 🙏
What a great production!
Thanks, brother
Awwwww the black and white footage made me emotional 😢 what a fabulous film loved this you are talented 😊
Thank you so much, Mary 🙏
Nice that you didn't play music for the horse scenes letting us to experience those beautiful horse running sounds. You don't see this very often these days since youtube filmmakers are now used to put music on all theirs scenes all the time. Did you use any gimbal or was it all handheld? Did you use gyro data to stabilize in post for some scenes? Did you use a mic on camera or did you record sound externally? Thanks
Thank you very much 🙏. No gimbal and no gyro stabilization, just tripod in some shots and handheld for the rest of the footages. I recorded the external sound (the hooves and the girls voice) using my Sennheiser microphone on top of the camera. The other sounds are part of the sound design. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 🙏
Great awesome job! Love the visuals.
Thanks brother 🙏
Young lady is a natural in front of the camera beautiful young lady and Nadira beautiful horse.
They are a fantastic couple. Thank you 🙏
What compression settings did you use for this project?
Great job Ruben! 👏 16th thumbs up 👍 Love the black and white images. Have a wonderful safe week ahead my friend 😎👍
Thank you so much my dear friend 🙏
So good
Thank you 🙏
Nice work
Thank you 🙏
Did you crop in post to avoid the vignetting from the aps-c lens (Sigma 18-35)?
I couldn’t film at 18mm as you can imagine. I shot at 35, but in the process I accidentally moved the zoom while I was pulling focus and a few times went below 35mm and so I got vignette. In those cases yes, I cropped it in post. I recently got the Canon 24-105mm f4.0; highly recommended for this camera! Thanks for watching 🙏
@@topicruben thanks for sharing! The 24-105 is an intriguing lens, but I often shoot in churches which can be really dark, so f/4 is not wide enough for me on the 6K G2. Hence, why I have the Sigma 18-35. I plan to try the Sigma 50-100 f/1.8 really soon!
@@carlos.sierra that could be a good solution, but isn’t 50mm to narrow for a church? There are other choices, such as the RF 24-104 f2.8, the canon 24-70 f2.8, also some Sigma are really good, but you will pay much more for that “F f”, lol otherwise you can go with budget cinema lenses, just make sure they’re full-frame
@@topicrubenfor me 50mm is not too narrow because I need to be far and out of the way during Mass so I am not distracting. Also, the 24-105 RF f/2.8 would not work since the 6K G2 is an EF mount, not RF. 24-70 f/2.8 is an option though. The Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 is around the same price as the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8.
Did you use s35 mode in 4:3?
No, I shot everything at open gate. The challenge was the lens, cause it’s not FF. The full-frame one arrived the week after 😄
@topicruben oh, cool. Why not just use s35 mode, any reason in particular? That may have worked better that is an s35 lens...
@@Lathrop_Media Yes, I know, but it was an exercise I wanted to do using the whole sensor, also for the low light it was better to use the full sensor. Thanks for watching 🙏
@@topicruben I'm not sure there is a difference in iso performance between s35 mode and og, interesting.
Thanks for the chat. Beautiful footage. I have this lens and have been debating between the full frame and the g2 s35 sensor, leaning heavily towards the full frame due to the olpf. Glad to see this lens working so well! I would want to grab a full frame sigma 24-70 for the cinema cam that I wouldn't need for the g2, which I would use with 18-35 and 50-100, but I think the full frame image looks slightly better in color, contrast etc. Anyway, thanks again and have a great day!
"A single take?"
lol, not the whole thing 😄. Thanks for watching
