This is why featherweight has always been so exciting. Lightning fast pace with the potential for a one shot knockout at any moment
You knocked out 3 midgets and thought you're tough? -Nate Diaz
Itâs all fake like top gear
Nah lightweight and welterweight are better.
@@ahadmerchant9498 no tf itâs not most of them are just brute wrestlers not even good jiu jitsu. Especially welterweight.
@@deez9805 that's what makes it good. Romero vs Whittaker was amazing because of that loool.
If the Yair/Zombie elbow happened in a movie, most people wouldâve scoffed at the KO for being too unrealistic.
I bet zombie win decision. I think money in the pocket) and when the zombie fell, I couldn't believe it for a long time.
When they say: "Anything can happen in MMA"!
Best elbow ever in UFC
@@jaydaniel2145 magomed ankalaev vs paul craig 3 rnd 4:59 triangle choke. 4.50 ankalaev ground pound 4:52 paul craig catch hand 4:57 lock and 4:59 Ankalev tap
@@togogabunia5413 what?
That bodyshot by Aldo. So crisp, so fast , so accurate.
Sounded like someone dropped a cement bag on the ground. Loudest thud ever.
I would rather take a shot that turns the lights off than take that shot đŹ
@RaptorHunter285 Featherweight Mcgregor was something else
its sound was crazy
And then had the one after he held the cage to avoid a takedown
Aldo jumping in the crowd and them lifting him up still gives me chill. The man is a icon
I just love that confused head rotation he always does before hossing out the cage lol
Ngl my eyes got tears of excitement to even think of the energy of the moment. O Rei do Rio đđŒ
But mc shut him downđ€Ł
He got knocked out in 13 seconds and his career was ended that night. He is no p4p champion
@@zachschwarz4625 you always get these assholes. Every great MMA fighter loses eventually. Is normal. We do not judge them by their losses, or the twilight of their career. We judge them when they were at their prime. Aldo is a great.
That Ortega uppercut had Frankie flying
LITERALLY!!!!!
OMFG HOW HAVE MORE PEOPLE NOT COMMENTED ON THAT?!? Even HW boxers canât pull that shit off!!!
Fucking hellâŠ.
Brian killed a guyâŠđ„đ
Man turned Edgar into a log mid-air
Knocking a guy actually off his feet is very hard, itâs a crazy uppercut
@Moe they shouldâve let Volk kill him in the octagon as a sacrifice
@Moe I didnât? LMAO
I will never understand how Aldo has been at the top of the heap for so many years, he's build different
I think he should go to One and take on some fresh opponents who will give him a good fight, he would have fun again. He still has a good few fights in him as you said.
@@jaydaniel2145 this is a good idea, but let the man have his last run to the title. He has a chance against Sterling imo.
Most people named Jose are
@@VictorHugo._ Imagine the scenes if he got the belt
he was roided up till USADA came
That Elkins fight has to be one of the best comeback fights in ufc history. I was there live and met Elkins walking through the casino floor at Wynn afterwards. What a night that was
Amazing fight...I remember feeling emotional after that fight. He clearly wanted it so bad and hung in there and pulled it off. That's what MMA is all about.
THE BEST COMEBACK
@@cosmiccomedy7394 it was so insane but my friend mentioned to me that Elkins is going to win bc beltik has too much muscle and will gas out. At the end of the fights thatâs exactly what happenedâŠso crazy! Thatâs why I love this sport!
@@trideez3768 haha good call by your mate.
Im mad they didnt leave the audio pf that scream in there, one of the most raw and visceral moments in UFC history
Kattar's KO elbow of the hardest hitting 145er really should have been on this list IMO
That elbow was wicked. Definitely should've made the list
I think it should be here over the Aldo TKO on Jeremy Stephens
"These guys get tko'd when I get knocked out I don't fucking move"
That was brutal....no fans neither...the sound was sick
Kattar had quite a few good knockouts. I'm surprised none are on here
To this day Burgosâ delayed reaction scares tf outta me
He delayed 2 seconds his soul was coming forward but that body fail him Burgos Damn G I like his toughness
Acting
@@thehouseofcrumblingidols2694 đ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Šââïž
TO THIS DAY! TO THIS DAY!!
He is lagging
I wish Emmett knocking out Johnson would have made the list, easily one of the cleanest and most underrated knockouts in UFC history
I thought that was at 155lbs..
The fact that Emmett and kattar aren't on here at all is pretty shocking
Why y'all always talking about the MJ KO, but never mention the Lamas one?
@@fuckbored4724 I dont get why they didnt put the Stephens Ko, that was one of the best elbows in featherweight history
@@upupupandaway true, that was a naaasty knockout as well
Yair's elbow should be #1, that's one in a life KO. Rarest KO in UFC history
Conorâs was one of the biggest fights ever
@@thrk6952 True, but Yair was literally 10 seconds away from losing the fight.
@@TheChosenMoose01 *2 seconds*
Yeah but he sort of forced it by beckoning Zombie into the 10 seconds left fight ending brawl...
To me it's as if he had it in his mind before the fight
If he did it to a bigger name it would mean more Aldo was undefeated for 10 years and was thought of as the goat.
Aldo's had a legendary career
Yeah, and all that to lose in 13 seconds by McGregor! đđ€·
@@vandersonvlad4082 2015 think of something new
@@vandersonvlad4082 Aldo is still beating people up, longetivity ftw. Conor has his moment but I think his flame has been out for awhile
@@vandersonvlad4082 mcmugget got shit on his last few fights..everyone laughs at him these days.
@@vandersonvlad4082 and Mcgregor got KOd by some Louisiana swamp trash? Whatâs your point? LMAO
7:20 never thought Iâd hear the phrase âYamasaki rescues himâ lol
Opposite day mate.
Mario must have smelled of booze and cigarettes that night.
Mario utilising the knee on belly technique
That knee from the ref to Aldo was wild. He should been the champ for the final blow
I was looking to see if anyone else saw that Aldo was waking up and big Johnâs knee put him back to sleep
@@Victor0328 lmao at this angle its so explicit, Big John needs to take dock a point from himself for illegal strike
Thatâs where Aldo had the bloody nose bridge from if u think about it now
@@atrioxiclean4996 The only thing worse than that double team by Big John and McGregor on Aldo was Weidman when he went into the octagon against both Yoel 'Soldier of God' Romero and Mario 'If he dies, he dies' Yamasaki. No man would leave the octagon conscious against those two killers.
Seriously was the hardest blow he took
Yair straight outta Ong-Bak
Yair with that phantom elbow was on point
âđœđ
lol
Second that
Between Ortega's uppercut, Sandhagen's flying knee, and Chito's front kick Edgar has some highlight reel losses.
The delayed reaction to a hit is the coolest! Like that Barboza one but also why I like body shots/liver shots.
the guy throwing hands straight after the respect tap and getting dropped is so satisfying
That Darren Elkins comeback is outrageous
Aldo always throws brutal body shots sheesh !
That uppercut from Ortega legit took Edgar off his feet
That Aldo Knee!!!
Mcgregor KO against mendes after being on his back for 3 minutes, is iconic
That aldo knee was so damn fast
That KO by Yair Rodriguez has got to be one of the greatest KOs of all time in general, regardless of weight class.
That body shot from Aldo against Jeremy Stephens is BRUTAL
Love how they don't mention the knee and shin Aldo ate across his face from Big John at the end.
And he took them laying down. Heâs a beast
Josh Emmettâs come-from-behind KO of Michael Johnson was one that never seems to get mentioned
I agree Craig đ
Yea he absolutely flatlined MJ
How his knockout of Ricardo Lamas is not on the list is what really has to be explained here.
Love that KO and I don't have many fighters I don't like, but Michael Johnson is one of them. So double whammy for me.
That combo Aldo hit on Jeremy Stephen's body is one of my all time favorites. That shit almost locks me up just watching.
Haha I love how the story of the Elkins KO isnât complete without seeing Bektic whoop on him for 2 and a 1/2 rounds
I love how they showed highlights of the other rounds of Elkins vs beckit to amplify what a comeback that KO was
The McGregor one was magic
Conor executed exactly what he predicted would happen, and was warming up for. It could not have gone any better for him. That KO transformed his career into the biggest star in MMA.
Yeah he was really slick in that fight.
Zombie is a legend in UFC history. No one can deny this.
meh
@@panditachannel2118 who are you
he's amazing, no doubt about that, but not a legend (in my opinion)
The Darren Elkins comeback was the #1 comeback of all time. It brought me to tears, tbh!
I've not missed an event since 2009. I watched all these live. Elkins win brought me to tears, though.
"He connected with a punch as his brain was shutting off."
đ đ€Ł đ
Iâm glad Elkins fight is in this, that comeback knockout is one of my favorite moments in MMA, props to The Damage.
I've always loved that moment between KZ and Yair where they look at each other with their hands raised as if to say "We just blew the roof off of this place".
lol 3:10 Ortega's uppercut lifted Edgar off the ground like it was mortal kombat
Yael Rodriguez! His Mr Myagi kick and his elbows! Lethal đ€©đđŸđȘđœđ„
Man let's be real that Yair/Zombie elbow was incredible...
5:58 the guy in the back watching carefully đ€Ł
Words I never thought I would hear @ 7:18
Connor using the teep too feel aldo was coiled up and coming forward was genius.. next level really
That elbow is the greatest elbow of all time âš
Glad we got a good shot of Big John McCarthy putting Aldo into an even deeper sleep in this video.
I just had liver shot this weekend
Was it mixed with Vodka? Did you get drunk? OJ đ
No it was from left leg
McGregor Vs Mendas deserves to be at the list
Last 3 clips are so awesome
I still have a hard time wrapping my head around Yair knocking out Zombie
Never noticed how the ref blasts Aldo in the face after the 2 ground punches from Mcgregor lmaooođ
Great clips
Just watching Aldo's bodyshot stirred some butterflies in my stomach
7:20 the only time this sentence has ever been uttered
These fights are amazing These lighter guys move like lightning very quick reflexes
Kattar vs Stephens.
Emmet vs Jhonson.
Stephens vs RDA.
Korean Zombie vs Bermudez.
Frankie Edgar vs Mendes.
Emmet vs Lamas .
Ige vs Tucker.
Holloway vs Pettis.
Hakeem Dawodu vs Horie.
This could be easily a top 20 knockouts.
RDA vs Stephens was at Lightweight
you are right, my bad
I still have that same exact reaction for the yair vs tkz knockout, shit was crazy
Now this is getting epic
Should have been top 20, so many great ko's in featherweight, Emmett vs Johnson, Emmett vs Lamas, Kattar vs Stephens...
1:23 you know it's serious when the glasses come off
the editors do a good job with these
I love the featherweight, just awesome. Speed, skill, just love it.
That upward elbow to KZ's dome was like when you yeet a grenade at the start of a match of search and destroy in a random direction and get a kill
Remember when we thought Frankie couldn't get knocked out and then Ortega did it
Age eventually catches up to you. There was a point where Frankie couldnât
@@lil3ric88 a bigger Gray Maynard couldn't kill him in a round where he 10-7'd Frankie. Frankie was just old and battle worn out but no denying that Brian Ortega has heavy hands for a jiu-jitsu main fighter.
@@eetfuk3571 For sure and since then T-City has been a dawg losing to just the two best in the world and nearly submitting Volk
That was F great thanks to all the FW fighter's who put it all on the line and shout out to Jose Aldo who is still doing it at a lower weight class unbelievable with the longevity of his career amazing Brazil đ§đ· has had some brilliant champions and fighter's in UFC .
Great commentary. DC knows the sport
We all knew Conor would be No.1 on this list
Rightfully so. Top 5 featherweight status
Its a top 5 greatest KO of all time. It has to be #1 here.
Most feared champion of all time dethroned in the most perfect performance of all time. It is absolutely the greatest KO ever, even if the finishing techique isn't the flashiest of all.
@@upupupandaway bruh
@@upupupandaway Add in that he predicted it with absolute assuredness from July to December every chance he got in detail, from verbal assessments on the press tour to physically backstage right before the fight, anticipating that identical sequence, just adds to the magic of it. He was just so damn confident. He's smiling, prowling, calling out 'Let's go boy', totally relaxed in his belief. A lightening in a bottle, once in a lifetime moment and I'm so glad I'm in a comment section where people are actually paying it the rightful respect. I've seen people say everything from 'It was lucky' to 'He never gave Aldo the rematch', which are both utterly wrong but for another day.
2:23....sonic boom.
Cub swanson ko on oliveira, josh emmett ko on ricardo lamas, calvin kattar ko shane Burgos
The Ortega one is so crazy, literally lifted Frankie off his feet.
Legendary
UFC, please start making these with 1080p 60fps
Big John just stepping on Aldos head after he was knocked out đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I canât quite understand why Yairâs impossibly far-fetched and creative buzzer beater elbow on KZ is not every fight fanâs favourite knockout!
That Yair elbow knockout is one of the best in combat sports history.
Punch head face or neck many times are so Satisfying âšđ€©
The 1 2 from max was clean on Aldo
Jose Aldo's still the undisputed UFC featherweight GOAT, since he still holds the record for the longest championship reign and the most title defenses in that division
Poor Frankie hes been on the end of some nasty KOs
And he never was KOd until Ortega.. Frankie is a legend and should have hung em up awhile ago.
When the age catches up
Its sad to see, you got these greats you grew up watching on the back end careers and they refuse to hang em up. Then theres Matt Brownđ
That knee to Aldo's head from the ref was clean
Ortega's little stance switch into the lead elbow on Edgar was so clean
Brutal
Watching Jeremy Stephens get fd up is always a treat.
The Aldo body shot on Who Da Fook is Dat Guy is relentlessly haunting. The sound alone. My God.
08:17 đ„đ„ the best
So good.
Good Lord, that was one of the loudest body shots I've ever heard. Aldo might've rearranged some organs with that one.
That 1 2 1 2 by max on aldo was so clean
What a fit. That was
edson barbozaâs delayed slow-no knockout is still one of the scariest knockouts
the conor ko to aldo man... just epic moment of the sport. Aldo legend
Burgos stumbling like that was insane, even Barboza was like tf đ
Man Iâm glad I witnessed all of ââem live
Lmao big John basically kicking aldo in the head after heâs been koâd
Big John with the assist
Big John's knee done alot of damage to Aldo's Nose in that seperation

Whereâs Kattar vs Stephens??? Elbow was vicious
The Elkins fight is incredible
