I honestly hate it so much when people say that Chandlers overrated bc he’s 1-2 in the UFC. Yet look at the names he’s fought! Those are not easy at all. Chandlers gonna have a good career in the UFC and these basic UFC fans better start seeing that

And how Volkanovski was still happy to keep the fight on the ground and beat him up. So many people woulda been yelling for him to stand up but Volk was possessed
Volk getting out of Oretega's guillotine and triangle was INSANE. I've never seen a fighter get out of a submission that deep let alone 2 of them in the same round. Any other man on earth would have tapped or went out. Those guys have IRL breath holding buffs from all the surfing they do, I swear.
Both chokes cut off arterial supply of oxygenated blood to the brain. Not breathing.
He survived because Ortega was exhausted & because Alex kept squirming & angling to keep at least a little blood getting through.

Volk lotioned up his scalp to provide the superslick head escapes that he needed ;)
1. Volk used to hold the weight in the heavyweight category. His blood vessels, body construction is superior and allows for an infinite gas tank.
2. His neck is short, similar to Yoel Romero. You can't sub someone without a neck.
3. T City was too tired. He took too many hits before.

Boxing is dangerous. They let fighters stand again after they get knocked down. Brain damage soon takes over when they are in 50's

Chandler might be 1-2 but hes had 3 classic fights and easily one of the best first years in ufc history

It seems like it wasn't too hard with Nunes trying desperately to beat up Pena's fists with her face. The finish was definitly questionable. I really don't see why people are so hyped about that fight.

Volkanovski showed why he’s a UFC champion in that main event. Also that was a TUF coaches fight, makes it even better. Who the hell survives that many deadly choke attempts and still manages to beat someone’s face in? Beaten to a pulp with what looked like fractured bones in Ortegas face. Brilliant MMA performance all around. Felder said “He’s a savage, man”. And he is. He and Izzy got the best coach in the game right now. Alexander Volkanovski FOTY UFC 266 hall of fame fight for sure

It was frustrating over the past year reading all the comments from die-hard Holloway fans salty over the second fight who disregarded Volkanovski as a paper champion, and had total disregard for his skillset. This was a real middle-finger to the doubters who thought Volk was a champion in name only and I'm glad he's getting the respect he deserves.

Very absurd. Chandler’s leg was done. I’m surprised he was able to stand.
It was the real fight version of a wrestling match, the fans wowing every move (rightfully so) and these both absolute madmen not backing down made this one of the best fights in ufc history

It’s my first year of watching all live events instead of catching highlights and I’m so glad I picked this year to get into the sport properly. I’m still genuinely shocked at the amount of brilliant fight cards, hopefully the next year picks up right where this year ended.

I was at the gym doing cardio during/watching the Glover - Jan fight and man, just like DC I was starting to tear up out of excitement for Glover winning.

The most amazing thing for me with Conor's leg break was that he wasn't screaming in agony like Weidman and Silva were.
Amazing considering that Dustin delivered punches for several seconds after the break and the foot is just bouncing up and down.

Of all these The Pena vs Nunes upset is the most rewatchable of all, I almost broke my jaw watching that live, couldn't believe my fcking eyes and still feels crazy to me.

So happy for Glover. He has been competing for so long that man deserved a title. 42 years old!!! Also Juliana’s striking is horrible that’s my I really don’t think she will be champ for long but that’s just my opinion.
She’s a really good wrestler she only kept it standing bc she wanted to tire Núñez out bc she would have outmuscled her on the ground Peña had the better game plan that night and I think she’ll prolly end up like Cody focused to luv on one person she gone get beat by everyone else
