- They rarely give interviews, but Massive Attack have put images of refugees centre stage in their latest shows and the band believes we "will be judged in history" by how we respond.

I saw them live in Amsterdam a few days ago and there were many visuals shown of refugees. In combination with the music they brought a very powerful message. Great performance.

The audience appear to be cheering photographs of people facing tragedy and torment. To my mind this is the epitome of just how warped the media driven pop-cultural morality has become.
The band member says the photographs are shown to "provoke an emotional response". Sadly that response appears not to be shock, or even respectful considered reflection but rather more, "Yay, we're cool because we think this is bad".
I love the bands music and do not doubt their intentions to do good with their fame. However, in this instance I have to ask, are they raising the profile of a serious problem or jumping on the band-wagon of a tragic hot topic?

Take the many billions of dollars being spent trying to turn Arabs into Europeans, and instead use it to build safe, secure refugee cities in the region with decent education, internet access, healthy food, etc; and thereby save 10 lives for the money being spent saving one in the current system. The goal of this current 'plan', quite simply, is not to save lives. It is something else.
The idea of solving this crisis by attempting to turn members of one society into functioning members of a radically different society is so astonishingly stupid, so unworkable, so dangerous to European women and elderly, with such massive long-term potential to create violence and conflict...especially considering the previous 20 year track record of Muslims widely failing to integrate at all... .......no person who has actually turned off the TV to think about things for more than five seconds supports this ruinous, insane policy.
