I can definitely see the potential in her, she’s come close to beating Marin in the Swiss open this year, she will definitely be a future contender for world championships and Olympics
i mean, i watched the whole match and was rooting for Miyazaki, but i wouldn't call it "close" quite yet, Marin is still too good by this point. however, her match against PV Sindhu was extremely impressive.

No she has to be in top 16 of the Olympic rankings for the year since yamaguchi is Japan’s number 1, if they want to send 2 players both have to be in the top 16
By beating senior player like PV Sindhu, she shouldn't take things for granted and become over confident. She definetly has potentials. Only her humbleness and dedication can make her as one of the legends like Sindhu and many more.

Her attack is surprisingly incisive for someone who is not tall or powerful. But it's too early to compare her to ASY.
Youngsters are thrown too early into the adult circuit imo.
Physically they need more time to develop and prevent the inevitable injuries of an over stressing world tour. Specially in the toughest category that is women singles.
Tomoka certainly has a fine build for badminton. Unfortunately for her An Se Young is only four years older and will most likely win a lot of big tournaments for the next decade
