Just an update for you, someone left a comment about multiple kids clubs. There may be two. Look into seeing if one provides the more traditional security. I went to another resort recently and my son loved their kids club.
This is great info, that no one tell you. I going to sunrise, but thinking to change to the grand but my childs are so young 1 and 4y to enjoy the water park. After knowing this i will stay with my initial choice, thanks!
Hi there! Yes, you could always go for a day. I’d hope there’s no additional cost to you and your family for a 1 year old. Also, it’s my understanding that the kids club at Sunrise or Nizuc (I forget which one) is much safer than the one at the Grand. Just an FYI. Some people don’t care for any kids clubs, but just in case you’re open to it. Enjoy! It’s a beautiful resort.

Yes, the pools were a plus for us. I was able to get drinks from the swim-up bar and keep a watchful eye on my son. Now, we did witness a fight, but I can’t say it’s typical. Just our luck. LOL. They also have a Flowrider and my son loved that activity. I created a CZcams Short for that experience.
Just an FYI
aid you stay at nizuc or sunrise you don’t have access to the grands restaurants.
Unless you buy a DAY pass to the grand.
IF you stay at the grand you have access to EVERYTHING.

Yep! From a cost savings, it would be fine (depending on group size) to buy the day pass and hit those spots for the day.

This is excellent info - thank you for sharing! I have a first-time trip planned for Sunrise this August. I heard that Sunrise has a kid's club where you can drop kids off in a supervised setting. Did you consider that as an option for your son?
This just reinforces why I’d stay in either Sunrise or Nizuc. When I looked into the Kid’s Club, The Grand was listed as one of the best to ever do it. Haha! If I go back, I would be interested in trying the supervised option.

They’re very persistent and clever. I would’ve never met with them if it was clear that it was a Sales person. Plus, they’ll keep calling your room. That was completely disturbing. I forgot to mention that in my video. 😟
