Wait wth? I thought the final ending was when you get the keys to the car!? When you get all those sun pieces. Is this a dlc?

Yep, this is the Ascension free update, it somehow expands the story of the base game.

If you say this because you keep dying, you will get there. I was like that too, now I can bounce from Biome to Biome without being killed, unless I am really not paying attention.
